I spent weeks researching American-made boots before buying these. I compared the Red Wing 1907 against several competing boot manufacturers, looking at craftsmanship, materials, construction, country of origin, long-term value, and real owner reviews. I don't work in the trades every day. My boots are for weekends, garage projects, yard work, winter weather, church volunteer events, and everyday wear. I wanted one boot that could do all of that while lasting for decades. I ended up choosing the 1907 because of its Made in USA craftsmanship, S.B. Foot Copper Rough & Tough leather, Goodyear storm welt construction, and the fact that it can be resoled for years to come. The break-in is every bit as real as everyone says, but after two days I could already feel the leather starting to mold to my feet. Every day since, they've become more comfortable. I was professionally fitted using Red Wing's foot scan and paired them with the premium insoles. They fit like they were built for my feet, and I've found myself wearing them every day because they're just that comfortable and versatile. These aren't inexpensive boots, but they're not a fashion purchase either. They're an investment in quality. If you're looking for a boot you'll still be proud to wear 10 or 20 years from now, the 1907 deserves to be at the top of your list.

Had Redwings my whole life, as my father did. Still as well built since I can remember.

Bought as an addition to my 875's, that I love. The seem like they might be a little easier to break in. It took me about 6 months for the 875's, I estimate these will only take a couple months. Not sure if that's the difference in leather or that my feet have been conditioned? Either way, not a bad thing! Love the boots! Wish I could get more colors in a wide!

The boots look nice but they don’t hold up to actual trade work. Soles wore out in 5 months. I can get a year out of much less expensive boots. I bought wides and they run narrow. I think these are for fashion not work.

dec. 2019 purchase and they are still in near mint condition. i'm a chicago office worker and use these as my primary winter boot. wipe the salt off after each use, if necessary. i condition them occasionally. the leather accepts a wide variety of balms and oils. i dance and go out in these. i also wear them to client meetings on wintry days. handsome boot.

I just bought these about 2 days ago and they are awesome and these are going to be hard to break into but I’m sure it will be worth it

high quality, stiff leather but they break in easily. these come in wide and fit perfect. I would not want to break them in if they were not a perfect fit. I wish red wing casual shoes came in wide and I would buy them.

Very pleased with these boots. Comfortable right out of the box. Beautiful leather, Briar oil slick leather has a nice pull up and is very soft and supple. Easy break in. Wore them all day on the first wear with minor soreness towards the end of the day and I was on my feet most of the time. These are definitely a great moc toe boot and I’m very pleased overall. Also, of note, stitching is very nice and uniform and there are no QC issues. Nice job Red Wing!@

I’ve been wearing these boots for about a month now and have nothing but great things to say. I would recommend these to anyone. I don’t have a particularly wide foot but I like to wiggle my toes a lot and the toe box has plenty of space for that. I used their online foot sizer with my foot as flat as possible and my toes spread out as wide as I could get them and was recommended a 9.5 wide, they fit perfectly. Very well made. You can tell they are individually crafted in an old school manner and not just spat out in mass numbers and I love that. The leather is heavy duty and beautiful, I get compliments on them wherever I go.

I bought these 4 months ago. The break in process was miserable and super painful. I am a high school teacher I wear these 12 hours (or more) a day. They are extremely comfortable to stand in all day they feel like they are still breaking in. Extremely satisfied with these boots though there do run extremely big. I went a whole size down and I went with wide. I think I could have went a size and half down.

What an awesome pair of true American work wear that makes you earn your comfort as vs slide em on and go. Personally I love the breakin process as it makes the owner earn hes or hers fit and once broken in your good to go. Im for sure getting a black pair next and lastly, the sizing was extremely simple go down a half size from your reg size aget the d width. There's also a ee width which is only something the guys with a wide foot need. Highly recommend 👌!!

The leather smells of quality. The style is second to none and they just look good. However, there's a break in period but for me it took several months to conform to my legs. I recommend wearing quality socks above the ankle. I plan to keep these for a long time...may have to have them resole in a year or two

I have been wearing red wing boots for 40 years or better. I purchased a pair of 8111 iron rangers last year and couldn't be happier. Whoever made them was a craftsman. Excellent. Last month I purchased a pair of 8138 and the color is great. Great leather but the welt was pretty bad. Exchanged them, took a month to receive them. And this pair has an issue. The stiffener in the toe box is very pronounced Maybe I'm being a little over the top but I have never had issues with any of their boots until now. I'm probably going to keep them because I don't want to wait another month for another pair.

I love everything about Red Wing moc toes—especially the 1907. However, I would be ecstatic if you would bring back the 8883! Please, please, please do this!!

Purchase a few Moc toes and my feet feel great. Used to complain about Plantar fascitis but now I don't. Red Wing moc toe provides so much support that I'm supported throughout the day. It's amazing and a good investment. Love these boots.
