Medium To Heavy Individual Blanket.
Just got this blanket about a month ago and haven't had a chance to put it through the full range of utilization yet. I can say that it is significantly heavier than for example a similar size Rumpl blanket that we picked up at the same time purely for travel. This blanket as the name implies is definitely heavier in weight and seems to have been made to be more rugged. I can not confirm how water resistant it actually is but it feels that it would provide some protection in this regard. Probably too heavy for air travel but would be good to keep in the car for outdoor activities and emergencies or as an outdoor blanket at home.

Waterproof
The bottom side of the blanket is waterproof and I did not notice any liquid that seeped through. Top layer also is a bit waterproof or rather repels water.

Rugged & Soft & Stylish, Oh My!
The blanket is rugged yet comfortable and very stylish. We used the product two nights in the row for a concert on the lawn. Two people lying down fit great to picnic prior to the concert, and then it held up well as we stood on it throughout the entire 3 hour concert. The second night there was even a light constant mist so we reversed it and let the rugged waterproof side protect us from the rain while the soft side kept us warm. It rolls up easily and even has a carrying strap/handle.
