Bought this as an extra pole (reasonably stiff) to use for heavy freshwater and light inshore saltwater. Loaded up with 20lb braid, casts and retrieves well. Good balanced feel, light weight. This will be a great extra/backup rod for kayak fishing expeditions.

Not Sure Why It’s “Youth” But Good Combo
I bought this a few months ago and it had gained its place as my favorite jig rod and reel for trout and river fishing for bass. Good sensitivity, great casting. I spooled it with 6# fluoro and have caught up to a 8# rainbow with no issues. Didn’t see anything about it being a youth combo when I purchased it in stores but works great.
