Amazing Pant

This pant does it all. Amazing stretch, good for work, activities, or anything your day might throw at you. Hopefully there a lots more fun colors to come out in spring. Would be nice to get a stone color, lighter blue, and a few other options coming out next season.

Comfortable And Great For Movement On The Wall

These pants are very nice to hike and climb in. Super soft and stretchy, they allow for easy movement and comfort. My only complaint is that they seem long for the inseam and I had to roll them up slightly. I typically climb in a slim leg pant but these seemed to allow for me to forget I was wearing a long pant even on a warm day.

Solid Pair Of Travel/work/gym Pants

These are a solid pair of pants. I really like how they are both stretchy and thick. I can wear them to the office and then hit the climbing gym right after without having to change. They are very stretchy and so I have no problem getting a high foot and climbing. They are somewhat warm and so are probably best suited for cool weather. Additionally, despite getting the straight cut, they still look somewhat tight on me. So, if you have large/athletic legs, I would recommend sizing up slightly. Either way, they are a great pair of pants that blends casual wear with athletic wear and I would recommend to anyone considering a versatile pair of pants. Super Comfy, Wish They Were A Little More Tapered/athletic

The stretch fabric is definitely the standout feature. Whether I’m hiking, climbing, or just running errands around town, the material moves with me without feeling restrictive. These work well for a variety of activities. I’ve worn them on day hikes, casual climbs, and for everyday wear, and they transition between these settings seamlessly. The pockets are functional and well-placed, though nothing extraordinary. Worth considering if you value comfort and durability in your clothing. My only complaint would be that they seem to be a true straight leg fit and the leg openings are rather large, but all that means is they’ll likely be my go-to pant for light brush work with boots.

Want To Love Them But Odd Sizing

I received these for free as part of a sampling program in exchange for a review. I wanted to like these pants! The fabric is super comfortable, the pockets are laid out well and it's a nice blue! Unfortunately they were super tight for me in the thigh and rise - even in the relaxed cut. I'm by no means a big guy (5'11'' 160lbs) so I was surprised to have this issue. They might be able to be useful for climbing under a harness, but they look like leggings from the knee up. It seems that they'd be great if they fit, but I'd try a pair on in store.

Great Hiking And Casual Pants

Trying out the stretch Zion Brion pants while hiking. I have had several pairs of Prana Stretch Zion pants. I really like the stretch that is build into the fabric and how comfortable they feel in warm and cool weather. These are my go-to pants for hiking and backpacking. I also have a set that I regularly wear around town. I would advise ordering a slightly larger size than you normally wear, I have found the pants to fit tight around my thighs in the normal size that I wear. I prefer the standard Zion for a more relaxed fit. I've also noticed some issues with the fabric around the lower are of the pant pulling as I walk through areas with bushes that are sharp enough to catch the pants. The Stretch Zion fabric is indeed stretchy! These pants are probably the most comfortable hiking/climbing pants I own. The fabric is soft and breathable and I can't wait to put them to the test on trails. The pants fit pretty well although the bottom is wider than on most hiking pants these days.

Great Casual Pant, Lacking Durability

I have used a ton of Prana over the years, and very much enjoyed their gear, and I was excited to try this product for free in exchange for my honest review. My chief complaint with Prana has always been durability. Every single pair of shorts or pants I own of theirs break down much faster than other brands. I have numerous bottoms that have seams coming apart from normal use and tiny holes from what I consider normal wear. The Brions are unfortunately equally non-durable. After a week of casual wear and one outdoor climbing session, I already have multiple seams that are unraveling or looking damaged after what I consider mild use. Unfortunately par for the course with Prana pants. Interestingly, the fabric is very durable but the thread for the seams is quite weak and is what fails. While the durability is questionable, I love every other aspect of this pant. The fabric is soft and feels great against my skin. I am more on the muscular side (big thighs, big glutes) and found the 32 x 32 fit my waist well but was slightly tight across my quads. The pants stretched a bit with wear and now fit perfectly (my girlfriend says it's the most flattering pant I own, they show off my fitness while still looking good enough for the office). I also found that I could move really well in these, and had no trouble getting high feet or stemming through wide chimneys. The stretchy fabric provided all the range of motion I needed. I found that the pants breath decently well for the thickness of the material and I appreciate it doesn't need extra ventilation features (I find the vent holes on my Zion shorts kind of annoying). Overall, these pants look and wear really well, but I would not recommend them for outdoor use. They are comfortable, flattering, and breath decently well. The durability is lacking and will show wear from outdoor activities (climbing, hiking, etc) faster than other similar products. I plan to cycle these into my office wear and for casual use around town (bike commuting, light hiking, outdoor events, etc.).

Perfect Amount Of Stretch

These pants quickly earned a spot in the rotation, and I might need to buy more. They stood up to kneebars while rock climbing while staying breathable enough to summit Santa Fe Baldy and quick-drying enough to splash around in the waters of northern Wisconsin. Fit was true to size - I’m 6’3”, 190 lbs, and the 32/34 worked well. The stretch provides lots of mobility and makes it easy to roll the pants all the way past the knee if needed. I’d appreciate if there were mid-thigh side slit-style pockets for a phone while climbing, but besides that minor quibble, no complaints, these are great!

Comfortable And Versatile

These pants are definitely versatile - they look like they could work for the office or our in the field. They are comfortable to wear either sitting or moving (hiking, even some running). True to size. Only thing I didn't love was the bottom of the pants having a pretty large leg opening without any taper, but it likely would work great with hiking/hunting boots.

Great Everywhere Pants

The prAna Brion Pant is a great anywhere pant! I’ve used these for work, hiking, and everyday wear. Prana does a great job of with fit, colors, and the stretchy fabric is a must! One thing I really like about the Brion Pant in particular is the metal tack button (unlike the newer versions of some of their pants). They are comfy, functional, and I will see how the durability holds up over time. I received a 32/30 with straight fit. For me the straight fit is a little too tight on my thighs and makes it harder to fit items in the pockets (phone, wallet, keys). I have many Prana pants and the relaxed fit is what fits me well and what I will buy in the future. If you have slimmer legs the straight leg would be great! Slim, Stretchy Pants That Work Great For Work Or Play

I've been testing the new Prana Brion pants, recently revamped with Stretch Zion materials. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. Over the last year, I have worn the Brion II pants as undercover comfortable work pants to my teaching job. They almost look like slacks, but they're significantly more comfortable. So I was excited to try the new version of the Brion pants. The new material is similarly stretch, and I think the fit has improved. The new pants are slightly less tapered in the same size I always order. One note is that I am a very skinny man, so these pants are not quite as tight on me as they would be on someone with more athletic legs. I think these pants will work well for people who are on the skinnier side, or who like a tighter fitting pant in general. The stretchiness of the material makes these pants great for biking to and from work, or taking right to the climbing gym. For the most part, I wear these pants to work, so I haven't had much opportunity to test their durability against real rock. I did ride home in medium-heavy rain and have a chance to test the PFC-free DWR coating, with good results. While the pants did eventually start to wet through, this took some time even in sustained rain. Overall, I'm a big fan of pants like these that I can get away with wearing to work. They disguise their high-performance credentials very well, and make them one of the most versatile pairs of pants I own.
