Ultralight And Comfortable
The review title says it all. When trying to keep the bulk and weight down, this ascender is the only choice given that it is over an ounce lighter than almost all other ascenders. It also has a soft handle and excellent bite. It only has a thumb trigger so other ascender may have better features, but the trigger is rarely used.

Great Piece Of Gear!
Recently climbed the 3rd Flatiron and during one of three rappels, the rope got stuck. Thankfully had this ascender with and it made those pulls way easier. Great for ascending fixed lines as well, plus the black will be great to have when live events return for stealth mode.

I bought just the right hand to have as a backup for rope soloing at a crag where you must rappel down to climb up. The locking mechanism to the rope feels great and slides well, the grip is like an 8.5/10 but I am sure it would be better if I was using two. Highly recommend.

Not as comfortable with the right hand as I am with my left. But it still has a comfy handle, and smooth glide that makes getting up easy. Clip this to your harness for a good time. Have no worries, the metal teeth will not fray your rope.

If you are considering this for top rope solo - but hesitating about the teeth (as I did) - don’t worry. They just engage the cam and don’t progress down the rope. It slides really freely up the rope, so hard to imagine having any slack to fall on. I paired with a petzl rescucender and a 10mm Beal Tiger with Unicore.

Petzl Quality - What Else Is There To Say?
I bought this (and a black one, L/R) for TRT/Search and Rescue. I got tired of using (fighting?) Purcell's for ascending a line.
These are lightweight and I really don't notice them on my already-overloaded rack. The mechanicals are solid and smooth, and they grab 10-11mm rope just fine, slide up with ease, and don't seem to cause undue wear. The size of the lower mounting hole gives me plenty of options for attaching foot loops, 2nd points of attachment to my harness, etc.
