I’ve only used once and caught a couple mahi on reel. Has smooth reeling action. Hopefully it can stand up to fishing offshore a few times a month only time will tell

Overall Deep Sea Combo

Great combo for the price handles well under heavy yellowtail fish , tuna , shark , rock fish. Lever drag system is excellent and works with ease.

Lever Drag Is Excellent

I started using level drag in April of 2014. The Penn Squall series have become my rod and reel of choice. I have caught 40 plus amberjack, 30 plus Kings, and 40 plus Jack Crevels.It does take a little different tact for using the lever drag vise the star drag.The ease of use of the lever drag is most excellent. I now own three Penn Squall combos: the 40 LD, 50 LD and this one the 60 LD.
