Purchase A 6 Foot Six Battle Three With The 6000 Reel Great Combo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this combo for over a month and went fishing three times with it caught three bluefish with no problems at all the The biggest one was 20 inches

Rod Guides Are Junk

rod tip is made of metal and mono has cut grooves in the tip enough to cut the line. Do NOT buy this rod!!!!!

Great Penn Battle Iii - 6000 With 9 Foot Rod Spinning Combo

I recently bought this Penn Battle III Spinning Combo for surf fishing and has worked great. (I already own a Penn Battle 5000 reel and the new Penn Battle III 6000 has performed great as well!)

Great Combo At A Great Price

Bought this for inshore fishing. Put 30lb braid and its a workhorse. Feels well balanced. Plus you can always depend on Penn products especially for salt water fishing

Great Reel Ok Rod

Very smooth solid reel and the rod in this reel size (6000) is fine though cheap. If I had bought a smaller reel I would have been dissapponted in the rod

Cheap

Reel is loud, makes a lot of noise while reeling in. Can get the same performance from a $19 combo. This was my 3rd Penn combo purchase in the last month and also my last.

Love The Reel! Not The Rod

I bought the Battle III 6000 12-25Lb combo. I went Snapper fishing & the rod handle worked great the 1st fish but after that the rod handle would spin when reeling. I exchanged it at & got a new rod. Went fishing Friday & the rod did the same exact thing... I think I'm going to have to try another rod brand

Best Inshore

Bought this penn battle iii 4000 rod and reel combo couple months back for my wife she loves it .. Reel is very smooth not heavy and rod has good action . Has held up to numerous large reds, flounder and drum caught her pb 47 in drum. Just yesterday highly recommend this combo for the price point .

Great Fishing Rod

Have had this rod roughly a month and it does well on the gulf coast. Can't beat it for the price.
