Best Rolling Luggage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The peak design roller pro is by far the best luggage I have ever owned. Love how easily the bag rolls. The drawbridge opening is so much easier to work with in cramped hotel rooms. The internal strapping is excellent when you need it, and gets out of the way when you don't. The low profile handle also really helps maximize the interior space. Love it, I may buy the same ones for my whole family

Almost Perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's hard for me to find something to criticize here, but oddly the wheels are almost too good. Even on somewhat rough sidewalk this bag wants to glide away into traffic, and the next version should absolutely add a wheel lock as a safety feature.

The Best Thing To Have Happened To Suitcases

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I travel between 40-60 flights a year. I've used this for 8 flights now. Once you get the system right, you know where you put what, you have a couple of PD packing cubes and the other zip stuff they have it's pretty great. It completely changes travel. I was only slightly disappointed regarding the handle. I imagined it to be more stiff. Don't get me wrong- it's a lot better than any other suitcase with the telescopic handle. But this carbon handle does still shake/move a bit more than I expected from what I had seen in the marketing videos. I'm not sure if its just my suitcase and it was a small production error, or in general they all are like this. It only gets annoying when its raised to the 2nd level, which is its highest level. The first level is fine. Still 5/5 though. This little thing has changed my life. This is something coming from someone who is obsessed with suitcases.

Game Changing Features!

Amazing. I travel between the West Coast and Europe monthly. Here are the game changers: 1. The front pocket has 2 insanely useful utilities. The first is a wide but shallow pocket, about 6 inches prefect for passports, etc. The second section of the front pocket is deep, awesome for a laptop. So without opening the main section, I have easy access to items I need often. 2. The clam shell shaped opening. I love being able to open this suitcase on an aircraft. I just take it down from the overhead, then open up the front zipper compartment, the top flips up and allows me to find anything else I might need for a long flight. No trying to open a typical butterfly suitcase. This carry-on is just slick, with a bunch of other features, but the two I highlighted make this luggage my "go-to" case every trip.

Amazing product. Bought one for me but my wife got jealous and wanted to “borrow” it, so we got one for her as well. Watch out for that, I guess?

I Love My Carry On!

This carry-on exceeded my expectations. It’s lightweight but feels sturdy and well made, with plenty of room for everything I need for a short trip. The wheels roll smoothly, the handle feels solid, and the compartments make it easy to keep everything organized. Great quality perfect for traveling plus it looks great! Definitely recommended!

The Best Carry-on I’ve Ever Owned

I absolutely love the Peak Design Roller Pro Carry-On. It has been an incredible travel companion, and after putting it through everything from international trips to business travel, I honestly have a hard time finding anything I would change. The attention to detail is what really sets this bag apart. The handle has very little slop and feels incredibly solid, while the wheels are exceptionally smooth and make the bag effortless to maneuver. If I had to nitpick, they might actually be a little too smooth at times! The thin handle design also maximizes the usable storage space inside, which is something I really appreciate. The interior is fantastic. The hinged opening is one of my favorite features because it doesn’t require as much space to open and use the bag, which makes a huge difference in small hotel rooms. Last year, I took it to Tokyo and it was the perfect travel companion. Moving between trains, hotels, and tiny accommodations was incredibly easy, and it was comfortable to live out of for a couple of weeks. The organization is excellent without being overdone. If you need the pockets and compartments, they’re there, but they don’t get in the way if you prefer to pack simply. The internal strap system is also really well designed. One feature I didn’t initially realize how useful it would be is the attachment points on the outside. While in Japan, I bought so much stuff that I eventually had to purchase another suitcase. I was able to use those attachment points to secure the additional suitcase to the Roller Pro, which made navigating Tokyo with all of my luggage dramatically easier. It has also been fantastic for business trips. The dedicated laptop sleeve means I can move some of that extra weight out of my backpack and into my luggage, and the multiple handles make it much easier to maneuver or lift into overhead storage. And then there are the little things. It’s sleek without being flashy, and the waterproof zippers really work. I got caught in a pretty significant rainstorm in Tokyo, and everything inside stayed completely dry. Overall, this bag just never fails me. The combination of thoughtful design, custom components, incredible build quality, and attention to detail makes it feel like Peak Design really thought through every aspect of how people actually travel. If you’re on the fence, I would absolutely recommend it. I honestly don’t think you’ll find another carry-on quite like it. There are plenty of roller bags on the market, but very few come close to this level of thoughtful engineering and functionality. Five stars. An incredible bag that has completely earned its place as my go-to carry-on.

Very Functional

3 months in. 4 trips in the continental US and 1 international trip. All with 2 lg and 1 sm packing cube plus shoe pouch and wash pouch. I was very pleased with the whole setup. Next up was a trip to Hawaii and I needed something larger for my clothes and such. But I also wanted to take my 3 smart telescopes. So I purchased the XL camera cube and it all fit perfect. I love the versatility of the ecosystem.

Butter Smooth Rolling

ive had it for a year now at least. absolutely the best carryon I've owned, worth every penny. I really love how it rolls and just stays balanced. Huge upgrade. if you travel more than 1-2 a year, grab it.

Great Combo Of Luxury And Practicality

Purchased as a luxury item and am very happy: love the quality, modularity, and especially the rolling ease (I knew this was a feature but was surprised by how much I liked it). Big fan of the brand and that continues after this buy!

The only improvements I can think of are if it had more expansion and if the handle had more positions

Poor/cheap Choice On Most Important Component

I backed this on Kickstarter after reading how thorough the deign of this bag was. I never considered that my complaint would be with something as important as the zipper on the lid. I just assumed that that would be a robust, good size item. Sadly, it is not even close. If you see the picture of the zipper failing elsewhere among the reviews, it is exactly what happened to me, even in the same place. My ThinkTank bag has a much larger zipper that I know will hold up indefinitely. There is no way I would take this bag on an extended trip of any kind or any distance. I’d be afraid of it coming open at an inopportune moment or, God forbid in the baggage compartment should IO have to check it because of its weight or size, two other things that should NOT be a problem on a bag so thorough; designed. The rest of the bag is pretty well designed although the uneven locations for the holders that keep the lid from opening all the way flat are also a stupid error. My advice, wait for version 2, but look carefully before buying.

99% Great, But That 1% Is A Really Fatal Flaw

After reading all the things they did right with this bag, I bought one to find out that they went cheap on one of the most important parts on the entire. Bag: The zipper that closes the main compartment. It is totally inadequate for its function. What would it have cost to put in a beefier zipper? Mine started jamming and sticking almost right away. Let’s face it, that is probably the most important piece of the entire package. Now, it also comes apart in the middle when its closed. How can I trust this bag on a trip where I can’t switch to something else. I could put up with a lot of other things being ub-par on this bag, but this one is too important. It jusr defies belief that they could go cheap on this part.\!

Not Your Fathers Roller

Seeing the reviews on YouTube didn’t really do the roller justice. It’s really well designed and built. I travel a lot, and the design of this roller makes a far more useful travel companion. Materials are great, and the wheels almost need a locking mechanism if your floor isn’t flat it will roll away…. Handle is very well made and thin is the way to go - so smart
