Great Bag With Structure

I bought this several months back when it was on sale. This is my third Everyday backpack, started with the 20L, loved it but wanted bigger, so went with the 30 L. Several years later I bought this one because I love the color. All three still look brand new, original is over 5 years old now. I love how it holds it shape with nothing in it or fully packed. Does a good job standing up on its own.

Best Utility Backpack In The World

I've bought these for gifts for so several people and I see why it's the best utility backpack in the world in my opinion. The clasp at closer at the top is secure and very convenient where you don't need to unzip at the top to access your items. The side zippers are a good design. The detachable magnetic compartments are brilliant - especially not having velcro is great because it doesn't wear or get messy. This "Everyday Backpack" Peak design product is a favorite in my househould.

Still A Great Bag, Needs More Organization Pockets

I upgraded my OG Everyday Backpack 30L to the 30L kelp bag and I love it. The color is amazing and I enjoy the chunkier zip pull on the laptop compartment (my previous one frayed). My only complaint is that it doesn’t sit up right on its own as easily as my previous bag did, but I’m still trying to figure out whether that’s because I haven’t truly broken it in yet or if the flex fold dividers are pulling it forward. As others have mentioned, the interior pockets on both sides were better on the OG. I do like how I can open the main compartment and reach into the top half pocket on either side, but I wish it kept all of the small organizational pockets for things like batteries, SD cards and other small items.

Lots To Love And A Few Suggestions!

Bought this pack before trekking up to Churchill, Manitoba for some beluga and bear photography and was pleasantly surprised to find I could the majority of my underwater housing and photography gear inside it! With super restrictive carry-on rules for the flight, it was a massive relief to be able to fit so much in one pack. Love the handles, especially the side! Love, love, love the magnets, especially the ones on the back to capture the shoulder straps (such a pet-peeve of mine). I didn't ever try the V1 which sounds like it may have a few features I would have preferred (wider opening sides) but as a first time to the Everyday, I was happy! My only complaints/suggestions are: I'd prefer a luggage strap that would allow for the pack to sit vertically, rather than horizontal (specific to how I'd like to store my Ikelite housing); a zipper that opens a tad more on the laptop sleeve (I found my hand was super sore after a travel day of squeezing through the narrow top opening); deeper inside pouches on the sides.

Decade-proven Everyday Bag For Hobby Photographers

I have two of these backpacks, having gotten my first one about ten years ago. I use for my camera gear and other things when traveling or just when carrying my camera somewhere. Incredibly useful, well thought and laid out. I highly recommend this and other PD products, some of which I also own. I’ve owned the Peak Design Everyday Backpack (20L) for about ten years, (it was actually purchased for me as a gift) and it’s still my go-to bag for both dedicated photography outings and travel with camera gear mixed in with everyday travel items. The FlexFold dividers are the standout feature for me — their origami-style folding design lets me customize the interior layout exactly to fit my lenses and bodies, and reconfigure it in seconds when my gear changes. The dual side-access UltraZips with their internal and external pockets are genuinely well thought out, giving me quick access to small items without opening the whole bag. The dedicated laptop sleeve makes this bag versatile enough for work trips, not just camera outings, and it still looks sharp and professional enough to carry into an office or for work travel. After a decade of regular use — including plenty of travel — the build quality has held up impressively, showing just how durable Peak Design’s materials and construction really are. I also pair mine with the Peak Design Capture Clip, which attaches to the shoulder strap for quick, hands-free camera access on the go, and it’s a perfect complement to the countless small, thoughtful details built into this bag.

Kinda Of Happy With It.

Kinda of happy with it. The overall design and detailed function is very good. The design is primarily for horizontal side loading for cameras and lenses. It doesn’t work as well as it should for long 600mm plus a 400mm lens that must to be packed vertically with additional 120mm zoom lens, large camera, and accessories. Bought the tech pack with it for additional accessory space. Tech pack didn’t come with straps to attach to outside of the 30L bag. That was also confusing.
