This head cover is perfect, it’s light, wind and water resistant and looks great. It fits my head great and performs in weather. We have received snow and wind this winter and a bunch of it. This cap stays warm yet dry and is a main part of my cold weather gear.

Greatest Hat I Have Ever Owned

This is the only hat I will ever wear. Bought one 10 years ago and just bought another for my wife. Perfect combination of breathable, soft, comfortable, wearable with a headlamp, workable under a bike helmet if straps are loosened. Spray it with DWR every once and a while it's a rain hat as well.

Bought this for the arctic adventure. Very warm and moisture wicking. Would recommend.

Sizing Is Smaller Than Normal

I want to love this hat but 61cm is not an XL. I'm a 62-63cm, purchased this in store assuming XL would fit like it should, very tight. Tried stretching it out a bit to make it fit, which worked but some of the stitching tore in the process.

love this beanie for wind protection. i sleep in it when i dont have a mummy bag to keep my head covered, and its my go to beanie for windy and chilly condotions. not extremely warm, but does a great job with wind.

Outdoor Research has always provided me with quality gear. I was surprised that the Wind Pro hat did not meet my expectations. I have an older hat from a different manufacture that I loved and need a replacement. I was really looking for a comfortable wind blocker. The hat did not block the wind. Air passed through easily. The hat was comfortable and the fleece was nice. It has been a nice hat to wear around the fire and when a lite hat is needed.

Wind Stopper Monster

Really love this hat. Super warm and comfy fleece inside and it really does cut the wind. I was skeptical about how effective it really would be against the wind but it works better than any other classic beanie I own at doing so. I will say, based on the description, I was under the impression the front logo would be reflective which it is not, so if this is a must for you then be advised. However, as far as keeping the wind off your ears and neck, it's great. Only reason for the 4 stars was the description having been misleading.

Great Hat For Cube Shaped Heads

Great hat if your head is shaped like a cube. Unfortunately I have a round head like most humans. The hat is well made and the material is very nice. I've worn it hiking in many windy days and can arrest to it being wind proof. My head doesn't get overheated when I am active. However, the hat has four sharp corners that stick up when the hat is on. It makes me look as if I have horns sticking out of my head. I think the issue is with the way the deals were sewn together. Major bummer because I really like the hat but it looks weird.

This hat is perfect for cold weather and completely blocks the wind. I’ve worn it while the temp was in the low 20’s, with a slight wind and the hat kept my head nice and warm.

Wish I Bought More

I lose these rather often, as soon as I pulled this one out of the box the wife wanted to steal it, light and warm better material than previous. Will be buying more!

Perfect Fit. Solid, Reliable, Durable

I was first introduced to OR during my early days with Naval Special Warfare. OR's gear has always been solid and tremendously reliable. Weeks back, I was saddened to know that I lost my favorite OR hat... I immediately ordered a new one and on the afternoon I received it, I found my lost one. Couldn't be happier to now have 2 OR beanies to fight off the cold winds of NYC. Awesome products!!

A Must Have!

I absolutely love this hat. It fits great, is warm, even when wet, and is long enough to completely cover the ears on my big melon. It also blocks the wind very nicely. This hat is great for most levels of outside activity and small enough to simply keep in your pocket until needed.
