Great size and weight! Didn’t burn after 4 hrs on the water

The brim is short enough that my cheeks will still burn above my beard line. The cap above the brim is made of flimsy material and allows your upper forehead to burn. I’m rating fair because it does work to keep the sun out of your eyes.

Great product. I have a large noggin, and OR is only brand that fits well. Baseball caps give me headaches, so this is way to go. Fast delivery, easy as 1,2,3

Left anchorage looking for a pot of gold. Front range shrouded in clouds. Onwards towards hatchers. Cloudy mountains continue. First switchback a blue bird sighted. Gone. Upwards. Clouds break. Skyscraper welcomes. Cold smoke. Hat was perfect for the skin. Packs small. Don’t worry about crushing it. Quick dry and light.

Bought it for summer to protect from sun more than rain but it works well for both. Brim is nice and small so it can fold up and go in a pocket. I removed the annoying chin strap...if it ever gets that windy I'm heading indoors. Boaters might find it useful, I guess.

I'm on the edge between a large and x-large. Went XL and it's roomy but still fits great because it cinches down. This hat is cool because it has a brim for sun protection but it's not huge and floppy. Size up for a bit more brim, or down for a more compact brim. It's light, well-made and protects you for those hot Summer days or desert hikes.

This hat is perfect for the hiking I do in Colorado. The brim is narrow enough to not get caught in the wind, and yet it still protects my head, face, and neck from sun rays. It has the sun protection of a larger sunhat, yet it's smaller like a ball cap. I also appreciate the sizing adjustment in the back.

My go to sun hat for travel and any outdoor activity. Great brim-just the right size and doesn't fall down. Lost the last one sailing and was happy to see that the sun bucket is unchanged.

Have been looking for a long time to replace an old comfortable hat and after a number of failures, this is the one! Very lightweight, comfortable, attractive and blocks the sun. Will buy a second one for backup. Love it!!

Strictly as a sun bucket this hat does a great job. It is a bit of a weird fit however with a very deep bucket and therefore an oddly low brim. It is not a flattering hat off or on your head. If you don't care about appearance go for it!

needed a new sun hat I got this one because of the shape. It fits nice and I found on chilly days it keeps my ears warm. The back strap keeps it tight in some 30mph wind no need to have the chin strap imo.

What an awesome hat! i have 3 now. Rugged, stylish, did i mention rugged? i am very fair skinned so i don't go any where with out an OR sun hat. It also sheds water nicely. I love all Outdoor Research products, but i especially love this hat !!! You will not be disappointed...

I've been looking for just the right hat and this one hits the mark! Packable, lightweight and fits great! Omaha gets super hot in June at the College World Series. This hat keeps the sun out of my eyes and protects from sunburn without being heavy.

Bought it as a knock around, mow grass, wear it on my Teton backpacking trip and it has worked like a charm. Love it so much I wear it all the time

used to hat on a backpacking trip in the Smoky Mountains. Very lightweight. The brim is bigger than expected but covered my neck and face so worked as expected.
