Great

Great fittings pants. Nice material. Easy to wear daily. Definitely worth the purchase.

Great Light Weight Pant.

built for the warmer weather. Super light weight and breathable. Great to wear on the range or a hike but also nice enough to wear out to dinner.

Supper Comforting

I was looking for something that can keep me cooled and protected from the sun and heat. 5 stars for comfort as well.

Great Pants

I’ve been wearing some variation of the Ferro’s for ~10 years (and I have 2 pairs still that are that old). I’m an outdoor guide/instructor in Alaska these pants are durable, breathable, comfortable, and just last forever. I wear them for everything. Hunting, hiking, u see my waders fishing, in Alaska, Hawaii, at college,…. I can’t recommend them Highly enough.

Nice Looking, Light, And Great Mobility

I bought two pairs for active days where shorts might not be as appropriate. These pants are light and offer really good mobility. I did multiple squat tests and knee grabs and they didn't restrict me at all. I can see where larger thighs might make them feel a little tight, but my slim/medium built legs managed fine. I haven't put them through a real physical test yet, but if things don't work out so well, I'll update my review. My only small downside with these types of pants are how they don't hold structure when you wear them. I get it, lightweight, flexible, and breathable material. So, when you're standing in them, it may look like it's 'drapping' a little while standing. A bit hard to explain but I hope it makes sense. Again, small complaint but it doesn't outweigh the pros one bit.

John B

I’ve only worn them casually thus far so I can’t rate the performance of the Transit pant in the field. I have other style of OR pants that are extremely comfortable and durable. Would rate this style a bit higher if they had the stretch waistband as was described when purchased. They are true to size, but I personally would have ordered an inch up on waist size for a more comfortable fit had I known they didn’t have the stretch waistband. Extremely comfortable pair of pants.

Love The Fabric And Breathablility

Great OR fabric that works well with casual wear and outdoor adventures. The fit is definitely on the slimmer side but not super tight. I have yet to test the durability of them in rougher terrain/brush

No Mystery To What’s In Your Pockets!

Great, thin material. Sized smaller than advertised. 33” waist good like a 32” at most. Top side is real tight.

Great Pants

Pants that are so comfortable, sometimes it feels like you’re wearing nothing at all

Outdoor Research Transit Pants — 10/10, No Notes, Perfect Pants

After more than two years of wearing the Outdoor Research Transit Pants for… well, basically everything except a job interview, I can confidently say these are a hall-of-fame pair of pants. If OR ever discontinues them, I might have to file an official grievance. Travel Performance: I’ve worn these on multi-hour flights to Indonesia, and they truly transit well—comfortable enough to sleep in but not so pajama-like that you feel judged walking through customs. Lightweight, breathable, and somehow still looking presentable after 26 hours of questionable airplane posture. Everyday Versatility: These strike the perfect balance of “summer-ready lightness” and “in-town acceptable.” You can hike in the morning, grab tacos in the afternoon, then hop on a plane in the evening—and the pants won’t be the limiting factor in any of that. Trail Cred: For hiking and backpacking, the lighter fabric hits a sweet spot: just enough cooling when you’re moving, enough warmth when you’re chillaxing at camp, and a solid bug barrier when the mosquitoes organize their nightly rave. The taper is clutch—pull them up for extra airflow or leave them down when you want a bit more protection. Gym, Crag, and General Shenanigans: They’ve become a staple for workouts, climbing gym sessions, and cragging days. They move with you, shrug off chalk, and don’t complain when you’re sitting on a crash pad contemplating life choices. Durability & Fit: Thanks to the spandex blend, they will stretch out after multiple wears, but a quick wash snaps them right back into shape. After two years of heavy use, mine are still going strong—no unexpected ventilation panels yet. Final Verdict: If I had to choose only one pair of pants for travel, hiking, gym days, and everyday wear… these are it. Comfortable, durable, wildly versatile, and somehow still stylish enough to fool people into thinking you planned your outfit. 10/10. Highly recommend. Will buy again.

Nice Pant

It’s a quality product, I don’t wear them as much as I thought I would because I don’t like the way they fit my leg.

Best Dual Purpose Hot Climate Pants

I have several pairs of these pants and they’re my go to option for something that can be worn in a professional environment or out on the trail. Comfortable and useful without being overly technical looking.

One Of My Go To Pants.

love how light the pants are as well as their ability to limit tearing on barb wire to the immediate area of the tear with less spread and wear at the site than other pants I've had for a good price point!

Nice Material, Weird Fit

I like the fabric stretch and feel like my other ferrosi items but the cut on these is weird so I find myself not wearing them. The rise is surprisingly high, putting the waist line very close to the navel, but the fly is very short. I wear 34r/34x32 on nearly every brand, these pants are extremely fitted, almost close to leggings. The high waist and tight fit make them not very flattering

Nice Lightweight Long Pants.

Nice for warm weather. They breathe well and resist water well. I do wish the pockets were a little more substantial.
