Bought this sun hoodie to use on warm and sunny days outdoors (running, golfing, hiking, etc). It is lightweight and I don't feel like I'm overheating while wearing it. Would recommend!

I love this piece. It’s terrifically light, great zippers, and versatile. Buy it!

Impressively durable. Pretty much live in this thing. Have climbed in it, taken it into high alpine, daily wear, it’s all around solid. And it looks especially good too. I love the 1/2 chest zip for dumping heat alongside the perforated side panels. And I really like the helmet compatible hood. I think the hoody is good for pretty much anybody in the outdoors. Although it can be a tiny bit scratchy if you aren’t used to having nylon on your skin, but this stiffness goes away after a few washes anyways.

The sun shirt is super light and breathable. I wore it Canyoneering in Zion at 100 degrees. It helped in the blistering heat while hiking up to shield me from the sun and keep me cool. Then deep in the canyons it felt warm in the cool air. We went through several potholes and it dried out really quick. So impressed I will order for the rest of the family

Little tight in the chest area but seems to be well made . Hood is spacious

This is not the Astroman fabric of yore...and that's not a good thing. I have multiple Astroman shirts; both long and short sleeved. I love how soft they are and they're comfortable against the skin. This sun hoodie, however, was scratchy and rough-feeling right out of the packaging. Immediate thoughts of sweating under a plastic bag came to my mind. After washing, it's somewhat more supple, but not anywhere near the old fabrics even when new. Does it work? Yes it's highly effective at keeping the sun off. Is it comfortable against the skin? Not to me. I wanted to try this to ward off the sun in warm weather for active hikes or easy runs, but find myself needing a base layer underneath which kinda belabors the point of any breathability. In short...sticking with bamboo sun hoodies.

Light & airy shirt, and somehow the material just feels amazing even when it's hot. Using it for rock climbing, hiking, fly fishing...

High quality, light, breathable, and good looking.

I ordered this on a whim from a flash deal and expected to just throw it in the car for some sun protection. Its so lightweight I barely feel it on, and it’s somehow very breathable and also keeps a little heat in when it gets cooler at night. Highly recommend.

Caught this on a flash deal, and after dealing with some skin cancer this year, I was looking for something that was breathable and light. These are it! I'm a typical XL in size and that fit me perfectly in the shoulders. If you have a little bit of a dad bod, I'd size up if you want it loose. Other than that, super light, extremely packable, can easily stick it in my running vest. Great piece for my kit!

This is the perfect light layer for Spring weather. It is heavy enough for a short shower but light enough for a morning fishing excursion. It has been really handy as it is easy to grab but provides a lot of versatility for changing weather.

This sun hoodie is very light weight and comfortable. It runs a little small, so size up if you want a looser fit. The material is very thin, so long-term durability is a concern. Note that the lighter colors have a lower UPF rating than the darker colors.

So disappointed. The Astroman was the best sun hoody ever. The new Astroman Air resembles the old one at first glance until you put it on. First sizing. I wanted to size up so got a medium instead of my original small. To my surprise the new medium was smaller than my original small. Next, there are no thumb loops which decreases the temperature range of the hoody. It was great to be able to keep the same hoody climbing through mountains in anywhere from 100 degree to 55 degree weather. Finally, the hood. The hood is tiny compared to the original Astroman and no longer accommodates a helmet. I can barely fit it over a helmet and if I do I can’t turn my head without the fabric restricting my movement. Hopefully there’s someone else that makes a similar climbing focused garment. Having your movement being restricted in a sun hoody is a deal breaker. Even without a helmet the hood is snug which means less sun coverage on your face.

Used to keep out of the sun during 12 hours of hiking at the Grand Canyon. I'm typically a hot person but felt fine and breezy during 20 miles of hiking in the sun at the Grand Canyon.

Super light sunshade for doing the things in. Does what it's supposed to do and I'm happy with it!
