Good Unless You Fully Zip

I’ve used this bivy a handful of times and I like it, but don’t love it. What I like. Comes with a pole to keep the netting off your face. To me it feels like I have good wiggle room (I’m 6ft and 175lbs). Love how compact and light it is. I haven’t tested it in the rain but it does say it’s waterproof. The only dislike I have, and it’s a big one. I have tried to sleep with the Bivy fully zipped up twice and both of those times I have woken up damp. I’m guessing this is from trapped condensation. Now when it’s only the bug net zipped up, I don’t have this problem. Going to test it out some more this summer and see if this is a constant problem.

The Best Light Weight Bivy Option

After having this bivy recommended to me, I've been exceedingly happy with it. It's very well built, easy to setup/take down and very small size/weight for your pack. If you are looking for something very compact and light weight, this is the BEST option for you.

Not Waterproof

Spent a night with heavy rain for 10 hours straight. After about 3 hours the fabric started to soak through. Should not be advertised as waterproof. If it’s not raining, this is a great lightweight option. I’ve used for bike packing in the desert and was pleased with quality. Would recommend sleeping with vent open, breathing becomes difficult went fully zipped up and condensation builds up. No ventilation. Im 6’4” and I fit with a backpack inside as well.

Odd Design

The way this bivy is designed makes it difficult for me to sleep in it. The mesh screen is positioned in a way that when you’re laying in the bivy you can’t see out of the mesh when you’re laying on your back. I wish they would’ve put the mesh directly over your face so that you could get fresh air and see out when you have the fly open. Otherwise it breathes well and is a high-quality bivy.

Used the bivy a couple times camping/backpacking since purchasing and will recommend that you leave the bug net unzipped slightly for ventilation since condensation build up can be an issue but overall really good deal on the product and really satisfied with its weight and overall size, I highly recommend it.
