One Size Does Not Fit All

I had an Osprey Tempest 20 in xs/s. It fit perfectly but has served me well and needs to be replaced. I went to buy another one and they are no longer made. Replaced by Tempest 22, one size only. It is so tall that it hits the back of my head and therefore I can't tilt my head to look up. Ridiculous. So disappointed in Osprey.

I Didn't Think 22l Bags

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't think 22L bags needed much of a hip belt but this hip belt is legit and they have zipper pockets easy to access on the trail. I am going to find it difficult to wear any daypack or small weekend pack without such a nice hip belt. The adjustable length is perfect for getting the right fit! Now my partner wants one too. Added hydration bag and used it for a festival in Iceand and also in the westfjords for day long hikes in a variety of weather carrying partners gear too. I'm a fan of everything black so I can't complain about the color because as it will inevitably get dirty, I won't notice.

Brilliant Pack, Perfect Size

This is a brilliantly-designed pack, with all the ergonomic features you’d expect (and the life-changing hip-belt pockets), but doesn’t look or feel as spacious as it is. There’s tonnes of room to store and organise everything, without the pack looking or feeling bulky. 22L is a perfect size.

Comfortable

The bag is very comfortable to use and has lots of storage. Would be better if rain cover was included as standard.

This Pack Lives Up To

I Really Love This Pack!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this pack! I will be using it as a day pack and also as my carry-on for air travel along with a small checked bag. Pockets: I like the number and size of the various compartments and the stow-on-the-go feature for hiking poles. Fit: The pack is very comfortable to wear since most of the weight is supported by my hips, The only thing I would criticize is that the pinch release for the cord that attaches he hiking poles to the shoulder strap is difficult for my arthritic hands to squeeze, but the cord is stretchy enough that I won't have to adjust it by much.

Great Bag

Just used my new bag (also bought with hydration pouch and rain cover) for a couple of days cycling on very rainy Dartmoor. The features are all super useful, esp the helmet clip and belt pockets. The interior is much more spacious than expected and it’s extremely comfortable to wear all day. A great buy.

Testing On The Norfolk Costal Path

This is great for daily long distance walking the fit is amazing using the adjustable back size. It is a little bit heavier than my previous day-sac but happy to have this if it means keeping the good fit. Only change would be to have a rain cover included this is an essential for uk walking.

Lovely Bag

Big fan of this bag. Colour (fig) is cute, hip and shoulder straps are comfortable even when the bag is heavy and it fits everything with many convenient places to access things. Plus it's suitable as an under-the-seat airport bag. Thanks Osprey!

The Fit Is Perfect For

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fit is perfect for me. I have a shorter torso and this works great. It reminds of my old Sirrus. It is roomy enough to hold hiking gear for a full day. I especially love the front stuff pocket. I will be using this for my upcoming Camino in Spain.

Robust, comfortable, sufficient internal and external pockets, nice colour. I really love it.

The Red Talon 22 Had

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The red Talon 22 had been my day pack for 26 years (i've last count). I loved it. It was the perfect size, fit everything I needed to have on my back. It traveled the world with me. I replaced it once and again recently I had to replace it again. I figured the Tempest 22 was going to be comparable and it is not. I do not care for the hard back. It has limited storage space, less pockets, the color is dull. I am sooo disaopointed. I keep looking on line for the old Talon 22. Very sad.

Best Bag I’ve Ever Bought

So glad I decided to spend a bit extra to get an osprey women’s bag. Did 5 days hiking in the Dolomites and barely noticed I was carrying it - and usually rucksacks give me backache within an hour. Worth every penny

Excellent Commuting Pack

Loving this pack, for commuting into town on my bike. Only thing it’s missing is a waterproof cover - luckily, I still have the one from my old pack!
