Why Black?
Good design and fits the pack well, hip belt loops are a good detail. Don’t know why you can’t get a high vis version in the medium size, I would much rather a brighter colour. Colourful pack covers are great if you’re ever in a position where you need to attract attention.

Raincover Is Nearly Perfect
It functions perfectly as a raincover. It is waterproof and light weight.
My only gripe is the colour - black. Why ism't there an option in that lovely (highly visible on a wet day) near fluorescent green?

Waterproof Cover
used on Friday 19th September in the Lakes covering Eagle Crag, Sergeant's Crag and Ullscarf… well it was seriously wet and windy and the cover kept the pack dry no problems. . No worrying about the cover coming loose in the wind(gusts around 40mph), stayed secure throughout. .
Highly recommend, I just wish Osprey had the cover as part of the pack like they do on the larger packs. .

First Like A Glove
Got this for the Exos 48. Was a bit concerned that it wasn’t going to fit, but if you put it over the top first and then tuck it in at the bottom then it fits perfectly. No billowing excess material.

Great Fit, A Shame It Is Not Standard With A Bag Purchase
The rain cover is well designed, a great welcome after looking at the price once I realised my Talon 44 did not come with a cover.
The top of the cover has an elastic strap that ensures the bag doesn't move during a walk, and it covers the whole lid of the bag which is great. There is also a pullcord on the bottom too make the cover fit perfectly.
The covers first outing was during 8 hours of downpour rain and there wasn't a drop of water through the cover.

These Are Not Like The
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are not like the rain covers that typically come with the backpacks. This one does not have the built in tie in system but is more “bungee” style with a drawstring. I feel if I’m not paying attention or if o don’t tie it to something, I might lose the cover from bushes snagging or even the wind.

The Rain Cover Was A
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Rain cover was a game changer. I put it on my backpack mostly for extra security and to keep my backpack clean while it was tossed in plane and bus luggage holds. Amazingly the cover is still intact and my backpack is still clean.

Great Size For The 45l Bag
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't used it yet, full disclosure, since it didn't rain much during our climbing trip. However, I did cover my new Osprey Zealot 45L climbing pack to make sure this cover fits. The cover packs up really nicely in it's own pouch; the pouch, in turn, is sewn onto the raincover, so you won'd lose it, which is a nice touch. There was a little looseness, which isn't a big deal. In fact, I think I might be able to drape a 50-70m climbing rope outside and still squeeze it in the cover, if I really was in a pinch, so that is a plus. Overall, solid and I hope I never have to use it (but certainly great to have, just in case!).

Great Color
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this particular rain cover because of the color. It matches my gray backpack even though it is an older model. The new version is a bright yellow, which I did not care for.

Good But Too Tight For Sleep Pad
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good for keeping the rain off on an osprey 58L Exos but won’t fit if there is a sleeping pad on your pack. The durability is average but it’s super light weight.

Not Doing Its Job!
I have the Talon 22, which I have to admit that it's by far the best hiking backpack ever. However this cover is not doing what it's supposed to do at all, it's not holding into the bag properly and not covering the whole bag at any position, the bag gets soaking wet within minutes.

Fits My 105l Osprey Perfectly!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this cover for as a replacement for the old one that I used on my 1997 Osprey Xenith Pro (XL). It’s way better than the original! It fits better, covers more of the pack, and packs up smaller when not being used. If you need one for your pack, it runs true to size and the elastic allows it to fit snuggly no matter what you’re carrying.
