[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pack is pretty good, solves some of the problems I have with another pack in the same class by another manufacturer. It needs a few improvements though. 1. The water bottle sleeve is on the wrong side. I want to be able to swing it off one shoulder, grab the bottle, and refill it. A water bottle sleeve on both sides would work better to accommodate right-handed users and also support carrying two bottles. 2. I use the front flap pocket sleeves for things like a laptop mouse and a little toolkit that TSA likes to look at. The trouble is, when I open the bag, all the stuff falls out of the sleeves and ends up at the bottom of that pocket. The pouches should have tighter elastic to retain items even when turned upside down, or even more zippered compartments in there. Other than that, it's a great carry-on for agile business trips with a little bit of gear and clothes for a few days. I hate checking bags because I often fly standby on earlier flights. Roller bags are clunky and aren't as quick if you have to dash across the airport to grab an earlier standby flight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good comfortability and volume. Fit as a carry-on bag on a flight with no problem. Only addition I would want is some zipper pockets on the hip belt for easy access storage when wearing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best plane carry on travel pack on the market in my opinion. Thoughtfully designed. Favorite and most used piece of luggage I own. I’ve bought this pack as a gift for 8 friends and family members.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My original pack was over 25 years old and took it on all my adventures. It literally began to wear out from “normal” out door use. I was impressed with its longevity and even more impressed with the nuanced improvements that were made to the original design. Bet I will get another twenty five years…hmmm I would be ninety seven…. . Great product and exceptional service.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sorry it took me so long to send this. My sojourn porter is a great pack. I got it as a replacement for a Porter 46 model whose handle had frayed. Frankly it didn't owe me anything, but Osprey offered to repair or replace it under warranty. The sojourn porter is a great pack. It's built to take it. I hope to test it in the coming years. Thanks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Haven't had it out in the world yet, but this bag is beautifully thought out. Amazing amount of storage, enough for a 4-5 day trip. We'll be using this on a liveaboard dive trip, and as a way to carry our important dive gear on the plane. It has more than enough room for that. The backpack set up is great. Nice breathable backing, comfortable straps, and the way they fold up in the back sleeve is very well done.

It’s an ok bag, but there’s a lot of room for improvement. The biggest issue is that the straps aren’t very comfortable and realistically, you’d be using it as a backpack 80% of the time. There’s almost no organisation in the main compartment. It’s a little bit too tall - if they shaved off 4cm or so, you’d be able to take it on the plane; right now - you risk getting charged by the likes of Ryanair. Back support… there’s none. It’s not that comfortable to carry on your back when it’s full. Overall, it’s ok, but there are better options (AER). It’s a shame though, because this bag could be great, but they really need to address some shortcomings

Disappointed they don't have a shoulder strap attachment so you can carry it around like a duffle. The main compartment also was a disappointed. They designed it so it slants downward near the top of the bag. The old version had an equal height all around the bag which helped with keeping your stuff from exploding out when you over pack or want jam something in. Now as soon as you open it, things tend to fall out a big easier because of that slant. Also I miss the zipper pocket that was on the front for smelly clothes and such. They now put that pocket inside the secondary pocket which sucks and limits space. Finally the padding on the handles is much thinner than before. Will probably be looking for another bag. I used to be a digital nomad for 5 years and used this paired with a 2015 version of the 32L escapist. So for long term travel, I would recommend another bag and avoid this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I waited until I had used the pack on several trips before writting my review. It's very spacious; in fact, I can't load it to full capacity because it would be too heavy. I love all the various pockets; it's easy to take on flights. It's about the size of a carry-on suitcase, fully packed. I haven't had trouble getting it into overhead bins. Comfortable to carry. Very pleased so far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Incredible! Classic Osprey. The pack moves with you no matter how much gear you have in it. The suspension system design distributes weight evenly whether or not you pack it thoughtfully. So if you are in a hurry to catch that next flight, bus, etc. and you pack the bag quickly, it will feel the same as if you carefully organized all your gear. Not to mention unparalleled comfort. The shoulder and hip straps pack quickly and easily making security, putting the bag in the overhead compartment or simply packing your friends car to the brim, a BREEZE. The mesh pocket on the inside is great for your dirty laundry (but could be a tad bigger). The exterior straps synch down a PACKED 46L size bag to fit under *most* airplanes seats. Multiple padded handles allow you to maneuver your bag around with ease.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love all the space it has! So funny that I got this review right now. I just packed it for its first trip, tomorrow morning! It held everything I need it to. I used the laptop space to carry my slippahs (as all people growing up in Hawaii do). There’s even a bit more room but why shove it full of stuff just because? I’m sure there will be more to write about after the trip but I’m really happy so far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this pack for traveling all over the world and you can’t beat it! All my family members and friends were jealous and ended up buying the Sojourn as well. They love it as much as I do! Been using this for 15 years! The handle started to fray and it was getting pretty beat up but Osprey took excellent care of me when I sent it in for repair. Won’t buy any other brand of pack. These guys are the best in the business!
