Great Fit

This backpack has a great fit. I love how customizable the straps are. They fit everyone, no matter how short or tall. The waist packs sit on your hips to alleviate the weight on your back.

Great Back For Pb&j's

I usually pack around 50-75 lbs worth of peanut butter and jelly sandwich's to deliver to the hermits that live in the woods. This pack let's me just load the PB&J's with no problem.

Perfect Pack For Weekend Campout

I bought this a few weeks ago for the 13 year old son to use on a campout with his Trail Life troops after being inadequately prepared for his last trip. The pack was perfect! He easily and comfortably carried everything he needed for the weekend and was comfortable on the trail.

I Like It

I took it out once. It's pretty neat when there is a breeze and you feel it on your back. The frame setup is cool. It's comfortable. I don't know how durable it will be yet but no complaints so far.

Solid Pack

I really dig this pack. It's almost perfect for my use, but it's difficult to remove/replace water bottles from their pockets, and the hip belt pockets are difficult to zip while wearing the pack. I usually head out with between 35-45 lb. pack weight, sometimes close to 60 fully loaded, and it's not great past about 40, but I understand that most people don't carry that much stuff. I carry tools, extra batteries, beverages, water, food, parts, all of the heavy stuff so my wife doesn't have to. I'd like a couple more inches of torso length to get the hip belt a little lower, which would improve comfort. The suspended mesh is great, especially in the Texas summer. I wanted a large, durable, and well ventilated pack, and that's exactly what I got. I've recommended Osprey packs to my friends, and even offered test drives of my Rook. On an average sized person, with a more average load, I'd say it's just about perfect for most trips, and the price is very fair for what you get.

Great Quality, But A Little Tight.

I purchased this for the Lonestar Hiking Trail. The quality is top notch, great features. BUT... it's a one size fits all, and the pack is very narrow for the height. Make sure you're a medium/large and not a large/XL.Its just not big enough for a full size man.

Great Durable Pack With Simplicity At Its Core

I bought my Rook 65 a year ago and have used it several times for weekend trips in Northern AZ. It is great for someone looking for a minimalist design with the durability and comfort of a traditional pack. The price is lower than many other models since it is lacking the extra bells and whistles of other packs, but again I prefer the simplicity. Awesome pack. Awesome company!

Awesome Pack!

It’s fits everything I need for a 3 day drip, and super comfortable. Awesome pack, love the mesh back support. Would recommend this pack to anyone.

Fantastic Pack For The Price

This pack is great for the price, and you can't beat the Osprey guarantee. The pack is great quality and has all the features you need.

Great Lightweight Pack

This pack is the quality you expect from Osprey. Very lightweight and roomy enough to fit all the equipment I need for a weekend spent hiking.

Great Pack

Great for overnight shorter backpacking trips. For the price this pack is amazing. You do sacrifice some features of the higher end packs but that's to be expected. Biggest downside is no outside front pocket. However this pack is super comfortable easily fits everything you need for your 2-3 day trip. And so far it Has held up great. The fabric seems super durable and I haven't been able to even scuff it yet. I would recommend just make sure the features of the higher end packs are something you can do without.

Comfy!

Bought this pack to use for the PCT this year, after a few shakedowns with it I gotta say I’ve enjoyed it so far. It fits well on my back and adjusts well to different body types.

So Close To Being Good...

First, let me start by saying I had to return this pack. It had everything I needed. Very adjustable. Good storage volume. And good suspension. Unfortunately, where the shoulder straps met the torso harness, a large bulge of material pushed into my lower neck/upper back. I tried adjusting everything from the load lifters to the shoulder straps to the torso harness... Nothing would get rid of the knot! It dug into my back constantly. Swapped it out for the Volt 60

Great Pack

I recently purchased this pack for a 5 day backpacking trip on the John Muir trail. The pack worked great, it was light and fit enough gear for the 5 days.

Nice Bag For The Price.

This bag is of very high quality. Seems sturdy, well made, can withstand the wear and tears of packing and traveling. Adjustable harnesses and frame make it great for anyone of all sizes. Frame is supported at the lower pack, can easily carry 30+ lbs of gear without straining your back or shoulders. Some features of this pack could be a bit better in my opinion. The bag only has top access, there is no zipper to "unzip" the whole bag like a duffel bag. Zipper duffel bag option would be ideal to sort through clothes and have easier access to clothes located in the "middle" of the pack. Another useful feature that I think that this bag is missing is a side handle, or handle located on side of the pack. The only handle on this bag is located at the very top of the pack above the straps. Not a deal breaker, but a side handle would be convenient. The last feature of this bag that I thought was kind of a design flaw was the 4 MM wire frame support. The Wire frame support is adjustable, there are 4 different "loops" for the wire frame support to "hook into" on the pack, adjustable for person's of different heights. This frame support gets unhooked easily and can be a nuisance when trying to travel. Osprey should have made this hook system harder to slip out of the loops.. Overall, still a great bag for the price.
