Fine Pack - No More, No Less
This was my very first pack as well as the first piece of backpacking gear I ever bought. It has served me well and I'm glad I got so lucky with it. That being said… I carried it most notably on a 7-day trip in the with a 15 pound base weight plus 8 days of food; and I feel like it carried up to 35 pounds really well. I've never been able to dial it in for 100% comfort but I can imagine a lot worse conditions. The fabric is rough and I'm often adjusting the chest strap whenever I'm use the load lifters. The brain is attached straight to the frame without adjustable straps. If the pack is full up to the drawstring, it's nearly impossible to fill the brain to capacity because it gets weird and scrunched. It wouldn't be as big of a bummer if the hip belt pockets were better. The hip belt pockets are small and attached very closely to where the frame and hip belt meet which makes it hard to fill them to capacity. My iPhone 14, for example, doesn't fit. The zippers are next to impossible to use with one hand, so I just don't really use the hip belt pockets. Which wouldn't be as big of an issue if the pack wasn't so heavy. Over 3 pounds to include a brain and hip belt pockets that I can't fully use. Makes me sad. The curve in the frame is great for ventilation but I feel like it takes away from the internal capacity since you can't straighten it out at any point. It also makes using a water bladder tricky depending on your gear. The sleeping pad straps; the load lifters; and the dual-opening/angled side pockets that I wish were standard on every pack are my favorite features. Overall it's a good minimalist pack at a great price if you can get all of your gear to fit; but it's 2 pounds too heavy for me to settle for such bad hip belt pockets and zero water resistance. (5'7"" female; 36-29-43 measurements; 18"" torso)

It Could Be So Much Better
There are great things about the bag, however it could be so much better. First I'm 5'8"" 145 llbs, hip belt was extremely uncomfortable, and I was at the top of the height adjustment, if you are taller find another pack. Only 2 day hike with 37llbs of gear and my shoulders and hips are wrecked. The placement of the hydro bladder make it impossible to refill on the fly; also very difficult to insert the hose. In the end I ditched using the bladder. Nice pockets for large water bottles, but you can not remove and replace while hiking. It would have been nice if maybe there was a spot to clip water bottle to. I put on belt, but it wasn't ideal. Side pockets on hip belt fantastic! They fit plenty. I wanted a pack that didn't have a lot of extra pockets which is why I liked this bag. Top hood should be adjustable, if you have it loaded and need into interior of pack you have to unload the top so you can close again, super inconvenient. My sleeping bag is bulkier than I like, I tried to make as small as I could with compression sack and fit into interior of bag which took up half bag, but my tent with rain fly and floor fit great into bottom area where most would put sleeping bag and made packing up really fast. I love the color, the capacity, the durability/ruggedness, the price point. Just seems it was so easy to have been so much better.

Love This Backpack
I took this backpack on a 5 day backpacking trip to Iceland and it was PERFECT. Sturdy, and comfortable. Easy to pack a ton into it. maybe the only think that I wish it had was an outside pocket on the front for some additional easy access (but definitely still great without). Also love the build in rain cover.

I Would Highly Recommend This!
I've used this to train with 35lb water sack on multiple day hikes and 2 day summit trip to Mt. Rainier. This pack can hold more weight, and highly adjustable. I'm 5'1"", 103lb very petite person, and I was able to have the torso adjusted to the shortest and the hip straps tight all the way to fit my short torso well. The floating divisor is easier and allows for more flexible storage, which I loved. I was able to fit a heavy duty sleeping bag and stuff the small empty areas with my snacks and dry socks, day gloves. Also for the panel cord loops I ended up buying elastic shock cords and cord locks for holding my ice axe, crampons, and my helmet. The only complaint I would have is the hip belt pockets could open a bit wider with longer zippers, and the backpack brain could be designed better in the way that it's easier to access and open from all angles when the pack is on the ground. Detachability would've been nice.

Osprey On Top As Always
My 2nd osprey; would never buy another brand. I use a smaller one for shorter hikes. This one is for multi-day hikes, carrying lightweight tent and sleeping bag, used mainly in hot climate. Back ventilation good, neat rain cover, easy to pack/unpack. Have just recommended it to a friend.

Awesome Bag For An Awesome Pricepoint
I have an extremely large bust and have never managed to find a backpack that adjusts to fit my body type, after trying this one on in the store I ended up taking it home in a bit of an impulse buy but I don't regret it one bit. Lets start with the pros: -Extremely adjustable hip belt and chest strap that don't shift overtime, just about every strap on this bag can be tailored to fit you perfectly -Mesh back panel is amazing, keeps your back cool during the warm months and you can stuff a coat or two in it during the cold months to avoid bulk in your pack -Large mesh water bottle pockets stretch to fit even the biggest bottles -Hip belt is padded and comfortable, while having ample sized pockets that can fit a phone or other electronics for easy access -Loops all over the body of the bag for easy attachment- I believe these are meant for the ""Daylite"" addon pack but I use them to hold my mess kit and have a bandana tied to one of them -Very lightweight -Included rainfly and pack material is semi-waterproof Cons: -The whole bag is one big compartment except for a removable flap at the bottom for the sleeping bag compartment, it would've been nice to have a few pockets on the outside -The bottom opening is very small and I'm unable to fit my sleeping bag in or out of it making it basically useless, I end up having to pull everything out of my bag to get at it -A bit nitpicky but I wish it came in colours other than ""grey"" or ""purple"", would've loved to get a green or black bag that wouldn't show dirt as much -Bag has a tendency to fall over on itself unless you have something attached to the bottom, I carry my sleeping pad and a tarp down there so it isn't a problem for me, but if you keep everything on the inside of your pack it might get a bit annoying Overall for the money its an amazing buy, its been comfortable enough for everyday wear for me, and if I was ever in the situation of needing a new pack I would consider this one again.

Good For A Weekend Hike

Nice Bag But..
This is a great bag - for a beginner. The gray color with green accents is beautiful. Nice side pockets for water bottle and a large main compartment that can hold a hammock, bug net, rain fly, straps and more with room to spare. It's durable and the included rain cover is nice. Cons - no trekking poles holder and it's not the most comfortable bag - my first hike, I spent most of the time adjusting the straps and still couldn't find a sweet spot. It also has issue with it standing up if it took it off, it constantly fell over.

Perfect Beginner Backback
I did a lot of online research for a good "beginner" backpack for trips where we hiked to the camping spot. I didn't want to spend a lot on a deluxe pack since I don't go on long trips and don't go that often, but wanted it to be good quality and a trusted brand. This one is perfect! It was very comfortable and fit my body great (5' 4"/140 lbs). I wish it had a few more pockets on the outside, but all the basics were covered, including a rain cover. The color is more greenish/teal grey than dark grey as seen in the picture. I'm very happy with this purchase!

The Best Pack Ever!
This pack surpassed every expectation. I'd never hiked before, other than simple day hikes, this pack fit all my stuff and was comfortable. There are many easy access pockets and pouches which is beneficial. The attached rain cover is an excellent touch. A comfortable pack to wear as well. I cannot recommend the Osprey line enough, their attention to every detail is remarkable.
