Love This Pack. I Put
Love this pack. I put over 2000 miles on an earlier version that needed some attention, Osprey replaced it with this pack and I fully expect to get 2000 miles or more with it. Love the brand, love the service.

Incredibly Resilient
Took this backpack into the mountains of Peru as I backpacked the Ausangate trek for 10 days. Held up extremely well. The hip support truly distributes the entire weight of the bag so it feels incredibly light no matter how heavy you pack it. It’s been 4+ years and it’s still holding up incredibly well. Highly highly recommend this model!

Really Comfortable Pack
Bought the pack for my first wild camping trip in 30+ years. Total pack weight including water was 15kg - the heaviest I had carried for 30+ years. Walked 18 miles and climbed 600m over 2 days and didn't feel the pack at all, as long as I took the time to set it up properly every time I put it on. Lots of space and pockets in all the right places. And, with the Scottish Mountaineering discount, the price was great too.

No Longer Works Too Well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] no longer works too well due to its length for carry on for airplanes , wont fit at a 90 degree angle in the up top luggage bins , i recommend the large size to be shorter and fatter so you dont have to put it in horizontally , the flight attendents were on me about it , the volume on it seems pretty thin compared to previous atmos , harder to stuff in and retrieve stuff , lower lashing belt system on the sides seems overly complicated , should be just like the top lash cinch which is just a strap across and not a zig zag like the lower one , water bladder compartment spot seems thinner volume as well , i dont use a bladder but i use the spot to put a tablet and important papers in ,seems very tight , pack is perfect for hiking though just like the previous atmos

The Best Pack I Have
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best pack I have ever owned! From the straps, the hip belt, and design, it is very easy to make adjustments on the fly. I have had this model pack (Atmos 50) since its birth, in 2015. I will never carry another pack outside of this one.

If You Are Looking For
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are looking for a pack that makes a heavy load feel like a daypack, the Osprey Atmos AG 50 is it. I’ve put this pack through its paces, and it truly earns its reputation.
The Anti-Gravity (AG) suspension system is nothing short of magic. It conforms to your back so perfectly that the weight feels evenly distributed and essentially "floats," preventing the usual sore shoulders or lower back strain even when fully loaded. It handles weight effortlessly, making long treks feel significantly shorter.
What really sets this pack apart for me, however, is the accessibility. The side-entry access is a massive quality-of-life upgrade—it allows you to reach into the main compartment without having to dump your entire pack to find that one piece of gear at the bottom. Combined with the deep, dual-access stretch mesh side pockets that keep water bottles and snacks secure yet reachable, the organization is flawless.
Whether you're heading out for a quick weekend or a longer excursion, the Atmos AG 50 offers the perfect blend of comfort, stability, and intelligent design. Highly recommended.

Great! …. Apart From
The waist pocket zips do not close found them so frustrating - impossible to operate - the pockets need moving closer to the centre of the waist or the zips need charging.

Overall Good
On firt trip with it, the rubberised meshing has started to come away. Comfort is good, however, the plastic clips to adjust the height of the straps digs into my shoulder blades, which was sore after a while. They could be better off lower down on the backpack, will look at moving them myself for next trip. Lots of space for everything I need for a 3 to 5 day trip. The on the fly walking pole storage just gets in the way, I ended up storing poles in the ice axe storage part.

Excellent For Traveling By Train
After deciding to take a backpack or rolling suitcase, I took the first with this Atmos 50. Together with my lightweight compression bags, it holds a two week (summer/autumn-ish) wardrobe. And a backpack is more easy around the platform s in train stations and trains themselves. Really enjoying it and can be really recommended.

This Pack Performs Well On
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pack performs well on my weekend hikes. I usually carry around 25 pounds and find that the pack comfortably enables me to have everything I need. I love the frame and its ability to distribute weight to my waist.

Only About 20 Miles On
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only about 20 miles on this new pack but thrilled so far! This was a replacement for my 20-year-old pack. I was embarrassed to send in my old pack for repair and, surprisingly, Osprey sent me a replacement. So grateful for their policy and standing behind my original purchase so long ago. Really enjoying some of the improvements of the feature set of the new Atmos. One negative point - I am struggling to zip the pouches on the hip belt while wearing the pack. Should work easily one-handed but it does not work well. Encountered another backpacker with the same model that said he was having the same problem. His pack and mine were both brand new. Hoping it improves with use and break-in. Really pumped on the pack overall. Super comfortable even when overloaded (wanted to be < 30 lbs but carried 38 lbs when full on Day 1).

Atmos Ag50
Great back pack comfortable and easy to adjust to fit perfectly. My only complaint with osprey bags is would prefer a simple loop for a carabiner in each top pocket. I really don’t like the cheap pastiche key clip. Minor point but a simple loop to attach a small dry bag or carabiner would stop things falling out.
