This Is A Great Pack

This is a great pack for long winter dayhikes when you need to carry extra layers.

Not Recommend

Although it feels good on the back, the bag has a few flaws that make it hard using it. The side straps are located too low and pushes items out of the side mesh pockets instead of holding them. The single opening from the top is not ideal and items are hard to reach. The difference in volume of 4 liters between the s/m size and L size is confusing when the model called hikelite 32, and is very significant.

Seems To Be A Great

Seems to be a great pack. I made a mistake in ordering the 32 liter pack, though. Not large enough for El Camino for me. I should have ordered a 40 liter. C'est dommage. I'll use the one I bought in 2010 for my first camino. Just needs some tape where there is a small rip. All good.

I Was Looking For A

I was looking for a good day pack, for a trip up to Washington state. I love osprey packs. The quality of their products are always five stars. The price for this quality is amazing. Thanks to all of the people from osprey.

Only A 4 Star Because

only a 4 star because I have not yet used the pack yet. I am a long time Osprey backpack guy but most excited about the Hikelite due to the vent between the pack and my back to keep things a little cooler with air flow. It appears to be a solid quality pack that you expect from Osprey.

Nice Fit And Very Lightweight,

Nice fit and very lightweight, but the shape and interior space are not as expected. It feels much smaller than 30L, and due to it's odd, highly curved space, very hard to fit anything here that's not a small item.

Still Getting Used To It,

Still getting used to it, like the many pockets and compartments and the large main area which holds so much. The adjustable straps allow one to adjust the pack to their body. Great pack.

Loved my Osprey Hikelite 32. I carried it on The Camino in Portugal and Spain. Perfect size and fit. I can’t say enough good things about it! The pockets , the rain cover, how easy it was to size. Love love love it.

A Very Decent Pack Indeed,

A very decent pack indeed, I mostly use it for single-day hikes when I'm going light, under 10kg. It pretty comfortably fits the necessities (first aid kit, headlight, sunglasses, emergency blanket, lighter, etc) along with 1-day worth of food and water, jetboil, coffee stuff and a couple of extra layers including puffy jacket. What I did like: pretty spacious 32l daypack, good back and waist support, integrated rain cover, roomy and sturdy back pocket with mesh extension, upper compression straps with fastex lock. What I didn't like: relatively small and not very comfortable lid-pocket, the waist only has one zippered pocket, the other one is useless mesh, no stow-on-the-go attachment. Generally, attaching both trekking poles or something relatively big to the sides makes opening the pack very inconvenient, these attached items get in the way of zipper. Not very high-quality zippers, my other osprey packs have better ones. It would also be nice to have bottom straps (detachable, at least) to pack a table or sleeping pad (sometimes I take one even on day hikes). Also - one of the really expensive ones for 32l :(

I Love This Backpack.

I hiked across Spain for 500 miles over 35 days carrying this pack. I had NO issues and it was so comfortable. I carried about 13-15 lbs with a water bladder. Only wish the water bladder nozzle had a cover as every time I set the pack down my nozzle touched the ground - good for my immune system! I just feel so grateful for my pack. One of your sales people on the phone recommended it after I tried several other models and sizes. Couldn't be happier. One of the zippers broke before my trip but it wasn't key. I will call regarding this. Otherwise - highly recommend this pack. So light, so comfy, so kind to my body after a long haul. Thank you.

Great Bag, Poor Quality.

I had really high hopes regarding this new design of the Hikelite 32 but am slowly losing respect for it. I purchased this bag for a day pack/carry on for a 17 Iceland vacation. This was the bags first outing and the material is already starting to wear through where the integrated frame is installed. Not only that, but the lettering/logo is already starting to wear off making it look sloppy. The bag is comfy and roomy and basic but the quality concerns me. The top loading is nice and the suspension/frame system keeps your back cool. Not sure if I'll buy another Osprey product after this trip.
