I enjoyed taking it out there was one part that doesn't want to stay punched out. It kept popping back in. I will try it again once the weather is a little warmer. I told my friend about your class and tomorrow we are going to order one for her.

Okay so here’s the deal. I am 72 years young and only been in a kayak once, about 10 years ago. So I have zero kayaking experience or knowledge pertaining to these boats. I live in an area with several small lakes and fished from shore, however much of the lake is not accessible, because of the thick vegetation, very limited access. Then one day this guy shows up with this suitcase that turned into a fishing vessel. I took a photo of the kayak and began looking into it. My first introduction to Oru. I did extensive research and with the help of YouTube decided on a foldable Oru kayak. However I was still apprehensive about this, and not really sure, how I would really feel about it. Remember 72 years old, no experience. So I practice the unfolding in my garage, I had no problem setting it up, it’s rather easy. Although because it’s brand new it’s also a bit stiff. Anyway after 5 or 6 times it gets really pretty easy. My real concern was getting in and out of the kayak. I have an artificial right knee and definitely cannot kneel or fully squat. So off to the lake I go and I access the kayak from a dock, after watching several you tube videos. It worked and getting out the same way. Not real easy but I did it. Day one I was proud of myself, first time ever launching and I stayed dry. So a couple of days later I do it again and getting out I took on water and filled the boat and wound up standing in about 4 feet of water. ( felt pretty stupid) So I decided to start launching from shore and I find it much better for me to launch, but how about exiting? I have developed ( with the help of a friend) a system that works very well for me. I use a piece of 48” rebar and attach a carabiner on the strap that you use to carry the kayak. I am able to use the rebar as support getting in and out of the kayak. I also use the paddle as a stabilizer from the shore. This works really well and I’ve managed to get in and out repeatedly. So now let me say this. I am very pleased with the Oru it's very easy to use. It is a solid little boat, I have been out fishing several times already, and the fishing has been great. Now I have access to the entire lake. I will say this, for me it will do everything I need, and I absolutely have no regrets about my Oru kayak.

After going with a friend in her Oru Kayaks a few times. Couldn't stop thinking about getting one. I just got two Lakes taking advantage of a recent sale and I'm so happy did. So much fun and easy peasy set up and perfect for my Honda fit!

The pack allows for ease of transport and has ample storage for the nessesary accesories.

The pack looks and feels well made. The pocket for the paddle works well. The fit of the Inlet was tight - a little too tight, and I have to really squeeze things to get it in the pack and get the zipper closed. There are no instructions included , especially about how the stow the shoulder and belt straps for airline travel. I found it easy to find a way to stow the shoulder straps but not the belt strap. Suggestions would be appreciated. Finally, I like that the shoulder strap setup includes load adjustment straps, and that the sternum strap position is adjustable.

Finally took the Kayak out to Ichetucknee springs Good Kayak for intended purpose to just float down the river. A little more difficult to setup than video, but better with practice. Love the portability.

I like the kayak and paddle but haven't used the pack yet. It looks really handy for getting the kayak to ponds/lakes off the beaten track.

Glad this came with the paddle for my recent purchase. I'm on the go!

Kind of a struggle to get the kayak into the pack and the paddle didn't quite fit in the outside pocket. Not sure it was meant to but would be nice.

I have been in kayaks 45 plus years and this has been the worst experience on water I have had. Will be returning if anyone would respond back.

The Lake is lightweight, convenient, and quite stable in the water. I thought I’d have to give up paddling when I coul d no longer heft the canoe to the car top. This kayak gets me paddling again.

Bow doesn't fit right. The clasp should be moved back more so it fold tighter and will have a smaller or hardly no open hole in back. Soon as I sit in it, will fill with water. Have pictures to follow Yesterday, trying to put 2gether and something just doesn't fit, look right. The back doesn't close right. Maybe the one hook is in wrong place for it not closing right. Too much of a big gap. Here are few pictures to show. I have one more day b4 my 30 days is up. Please help or send one that fits 2gether as it should. Hope to here from you soon on this matter. Thank you-

This is a great pack for storing and carrying your Oru kayak. It is very well made with pickets for paddle and other small items.

Overall, the pack for the Lake/Inlet is well-designed and comfortable, but it has one flaw: the upper corners are not reinforced like the bottom ones. All the upper corners of the boat are very “pointy” from being folded, creating sharp points that are pressing and rubbing on the pack. I have only used the pack a couple of times, but the inside of the pack is already wearing at those corners, and I’m concerned that there will be holes in pack in the near future. Please revise the design of the pack to include reinforcement on all corners.
