Most Comfortable Pfd For Paddling

I have worn many type of PFDs and have owned several designed for paddle sports, but the ONYX MoveVent Dynamic is the most comfortable. The high back flotation fits my kayak's seat perfectly. The segmented front panels allow torso rotation without bunching. The arm holes permit paddle strokes without friction. The padded shoulder straps are easy on bare skin. All the straps adjust easily for a fitted, but comfortable fit. I am extremely pleased with EVERY aspect of this PFD. Dick's sale price even beat A****n, plus I got to try it on, compare it to others, and had my questions answered by a real person.

Exactly What We Expected.

We purchase two. My wife is petite at 115 lbs. and 5'4". The extra small - small size fits her well. I am 5'10' and 175 lbs. The med - large fits me fine. They seem to be high quality. We have not been overboard yet so we can't comment on buoyancy.

Worked Great For Kayaking

Enough adjustment to make comfortable, and the back is high enough to not hit the back rest. Luckily didn't need to really "test" it, but I did a bit of floating after we got out of the boats and it seemed to be sufficient.

Comfortable, And Light!

This is my second one of this model. I have one in PA with my kayak, and this one is in SC for my paddle board. It is very comfortable, makes it easy to paddle. Nice that it has an attached whistle!

It Does The Job

I headed out on a cross country trip with my kayak but no sprayskirt of pfd. So, after stopping at a general boat store and not finding anything suitible I stopped a Dick's. No sprayskirt but a selection of PFDs. The Onyx is extremely comfortable. Bonus, it has a small pocket with a whistle! While this is an excellent value it does lack a couple of things. It would be nice to have a second pocket for snacks. A lashtag on the back for a nav light would be good. It is cut high enough in the back for kayaking. So overall I am pleased with it and happy about the price
