[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] fits nice and high up good for kayaking and fitting above the sprayskirt. the straps are annoyingly long with nowhere good to tuck them in. every person in the world uses a cellphone but they still not considering that in designs? mine does fit thankfully but I don’t know if it’s safe in it, the pocket is almost great I really don’t know if the zipper or pocket is waterproof… and like how could that even possibly be missed as a consideration?? the hand warming feature is not really helpful so far but usually has my phone in it. probably going to black out the bright yellow logo and make some other changes to it . still my favorite pfd so far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this particular PFD for a 2-week remote kayaking/rafting trip to Alaska. This NRS Ninja is excellent for the money and has a good amount of basic features for the price. I paddled a 10' inflatable kayak through class 3 and class 4 rapids wearing this PFD and never felt like I needed more protection. It's fully adjustable and the front pocket is a usable size. I'm 5'10 and roughly 210 pounds with broad shoulders and was able to get this PFD adjusted to fit well. I never felt uncomfortable wearing this while paddling and didn't experience and rubbing or uncomfortable chafing from it. One thing to note is that this isn't a full-flotation PFD, it's what's referred to as a "bobber", meaning it will keep you alive and keep your head above water, but you will be "bobbing" up and down since the amount of foam and less than a standard full-chest PDF. I wouldn't let this concern you unless you're intending on taking on extreme white-water with heavy currents, or are a novice swimmer. Great value for the money, buy with confidence. If it can survive two weeks in Alaska while keeping me safe and above water, it can survive most trips and keep you safe as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very comfortable and roomy. Terrific for hot climates. Design allows for wide range of mobility. Thinner back panel provides perfect cushion against the seat back in my kayak.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This PFD is Clint Eastwood on your chest. Enough said. It is super easy to slide into like a glove, and doesn’t hamper movement. Keep it high and tight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a 5'8 and 145lbs man and I ordered the M/L based on the sizing chart. I've got a LOT of strap dangling after adjusting to my size. It's also a bit bulky despite being advertised as low profile. The front pocket and hand warmers are great and it keeps me afloat swimming whitewater.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The front pocket has zippers which is great. The direction that you putt the straps on the side is a little strange. You almost have to pull backwards to loosen it rather than pull forward. Other than this, I think its a great pfd.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to have and wear while exploring creeks and rivers on my iSUP. It fits well for a larger guy and stows easily on the board. The size and openness of the vest allows for great movement and gives me comfort in the case that I fall off due to a log or rock.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You probably can't find a better option if you're looking for a PFD with mobility and functionality at a fair price. I've now used this several times paddle-boarding and haven't had any issues with rubbing/chafing or it riding up, even when I wear a shirt without sleeves. The zipper compartment and side pockets are super convenient as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used it the first time today, hot day, long paddle. Stayed cool considering I had a PFD on. And it was comfortable, despite my girth. The back padding never rubbed against my sea kayak seat, and the front padding never interfered with paddling. What more does a guy need?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a cheap Fluid brand jacket that is extremely similar to this one. The NRS rides up a little. The cheap jacket is more comfy. I am hoping the Ninja gets more comfy ovet time and use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for kayaking. The PFD seems like it is made of quality materials and I don't doubt that it would be a great PFD for some. I found that as a "healthy" female it was just too bulky. I prefer the Astral YTV.
