It took a couple minutes to figure out the high - low beam operation, when you twist it on the first time it is is on high, then twist it slightly to off, then again to on and it is low. It is efficient, a AAA battery lasts a long time with regular use, although I have never tested the actual runtime.

Bought this a bit ago and have gone thru a gazillion batteries. It is extremely difficult to tell which way you are twisting the end to turn off or on. So, you might think its "off" cause its not lit and low and behold your new battery is dead next time you need it. The ITTY BITTY "on<-->off" indicator is basically useless. When walking in the dark and wanting to turn it on or off (and maybe with gloves) its basically impossible to tell which way you are turning it. Then next time you want it on it WILL NOT TWIST either way!!. I love nite ize products and purchased this over mag lite. Im disappointed. It needs a on/off push button. 2 stars cause its solid and if you can get it on its bright!.

I am greatly disappointed by the inability to keep this flashlight turned off. As I carry it in my pocket, on my keys, any kind of force along the length of the light - no matter how minimal - turns it on. As it is in my pocket, I am not aware that this is happening and before I know it, the battery is drained. Not helpful. Now, as I write this, I have replaced the drained battery with a new one and I thought I'd keep the flashlight in my drawer, but now it won't even shut off, so I can't even do that. Sadly, I have to conclude that this is a waste of money.

Good flashlight but it won't turn off when you turn the on/off head. Must be turned off with the battery conpartment

I've had mine for less then 30 days and it was great awesome loved it. Then I had to change the battery and now the thing won't turn off. I'd return it for an exchange or refund but it was a present from my son due to living where it gets very dark and no lights..

I just got this flashlight to replace a small one I have carried in my pocket for who knows how long. The Nite Ize is a perfect size. It seems very well built. The twist light mechanism and the battery cap work very smoothly and seem well fitted. The only puzzle I have is that I cannot get a low and high light level. When I turn on the flashlight it is very bright, and the intensity is the same no matter where I turn it. I don’t really care about the low intensity, so this is okay with me.

I purchased this a month ago and the top of the light won't turn in either direction. So I can't use it as it will not turn on. Any suggestions on how to unfreeze the top?

Right out of the package very difficult to turn on or off without pliers. Poor design.

Throughout my use, the r&r 100 mini flashlight keychain is a 100 rating for a reason, besides a very bright beam it provides me, it takes a minimalist profile fitting nicely on a carabineer that comes with it.

I Have been collecting flashlights for a couple of years now and have several dozen. So I don’t get impressed very often anymore but this is just kept impressing me the more I learned about it. First thing you notice, is compact and small, powered by a standard AAA battery, instead of a UBS cable, turn this flashlight on and you were very surprised just how powerful and bright it is, 100 lumens with a range of 40 meters, water proof up to 1 meter and impact resistance up to 1 meter high. Without hesitation including in my travel kit, the best of all, just twist to turn on, and twist back again to turn off. Highly recommended!!!

I keep one of these lights on my key chain and so far it has held up great to everyday use. Compact, bright, and durable. One never can have too many flashlights!
