Common Fault With These Shoes
The more reviews I read on these shoes the more I see that there is a fault with the material in the collar above the last shoelace eyelet. The material rips while under no particular duress. It's not a point if the shoe that is ever under any pressure but multiple reviews say that the material is tearing. When I contacted New Balance I was told that this was just general wear and tear which is ridiculous for a shoe that hadn't done 150km. If they could improve that part of the shoe and their accountability it might be an excellent trail shoes.

Size Isn't Standard As Other Brands.
I bought these shoes for running and chose the size online and ordered them based on the vibrant look and colors. They turned out to be my worst choice as they are so uncomfortable and size is small too that my toe nails starts hurting and worst is that I got a shoe bite too. I just wore them once and since then they are in my shoe rack. I want to return them and expect to be refunded asap.

Grippy And Super Plush Hiking Show
Excellent shoe for longer distance hikes. Excellent grip on granite, scree, grass, even handles snow well. Very comfortable and the 4mm drop is perfect. a little difficult to get a good mid foot lockdown - requires a bit of work with the laces compared to other trail runners that are a bit narrower in the mid-foot. Fits standard microspikes so excellent for winter usage. Good mix of breathability while also providing some protection vs the cold compared to more minimal trail runners. The only disadvantage I can see is the not excellent water drainage, this shoe does tend to hold unto water and takes a fair amount of time to dry.
