This is not an inexpensive shoe. I have worn New Balance runners for literally years, and this one is, bar none, the worst shoe I’ve ever purchased from them. So very disappointed. It’s a beautiful “looking” shoe, but that not why folks invest in NB. They’ve stayed loyal to them because they make (or made) a superior shoe in terms of weight, comfort and wearability. Well 0 for 3 on this one. When they arrived and I removed from the box I was surprised by how heavy they were; more like a Brook’s Beast. I put them on and stood up and that’s where the problems began. The Fresh Foam footbed lacks L-R stability. My prior NB were rock solid; these I fight with. Moreover, don’t know whether it’s the rear tread or a component of the heel, but these things squeak when I walk. They’re the noisiest runners I’ve ever owned. NB, please do better. Get back to the designs that made you a runner and walker’s favourite!
