Great, But Get The 2p

Love the tent. I also own the 2p and for the tiny bit more size/weight I’d recommend just going with the 2p. Worth the extra space.

Great Design

A tight fit for 2 dudes, but definitely doable. Was surprised to wake up to no condensation even when the temperature dropped down to 5 C. Great design.

3p Hornet

Got the three person version and promptly used it, backpacking in the NH Whites with my wife. It worked perfectly. Also got the ground sheet. Plenty of room for both of us and some gear.

Great Tent

I took this 2p tent for the first time on a 4 night canoe camping trip in the Adirondacks, NY in late August. There was little wind and just one night of rain. The tent was great. It packs up very small and is light. Very easy to set up and handled the mild conditions well. Everything worked well. Of course, it was quite crammed for two people, but I was expecting that - and was worth the weight and small packed size.

Super Lightweight

Easy to set up and very light weight. Solid construction and design.

Pocketable

I wanted to get an extremely compact and packable tent that I could jump out of an airplane with and not get bogged down packing it out of the wilderness. This tent has been perfect. The tent pole sections are so short that it's easy to find a spot to stash them safely, leaving the tent super compressible to stick in my leg pocket. Easy setup and great quality overall.

Light And Feature Rich

This is my second iteration of this tent. I am never changing. It's lightweight form factor is unique paired with its feature rich design. The rain fly feels whimsy, but has held up great in admittedly more mild conditions.

Perfect Backpacking Tent

Nice and light, easy to setup, cant wait to get out in it more!

Very Light

Wow. Light as a feather, simple set up for a person who is challenged in this department. Trying it out in two weeks in crested butte.

Great Upgrades With The Hornet

I love this new tent. It's my third NEMO tent over the last 15-ish years and they keep getting better and lighter as I get older! I love the subtle upgrades over my older and much loved Dragonfly such as the reduced pack size, shorter pole segments, single pole with flybar, lighter fabric, and improved tie back clips for the open door. The large deep bathtub bottom works great with the single pole design and stake out foot corners. I'm fine with the trade off of this tent being semi-free standing compared with fully free standing design. The weight savings are worth it to me and the side wall of the inner tent connectors to the inside of the fly keeps the interior roomy and comfortable. It's a feat of engineering! Thanks for another great product.

Spacious And Compact

I was a little concerned about the interior space of the Hornet 1P. But coming from a Big Agnes Fly Creek HV UL1, the Hornet 1P feels quite spacious inside, both sitting upright and the amount of free space for extra clothes/gear around my sleeping bag in the head area, as well as more space front/back so my head isn't all the way up against the door and my feet are nowhere near touching the roof. For reference I'm 5'8". The side door makes entry/exit SO much easier than the Fly Creek. I wish the Hornet footprint was a little lighter and extended even just a little into the vestibule area so there would be a clean spot to set my backpack or other gear, but I can live without that. Spacious for the light weight, easy to set up, packs down very small, this tent is excellent.

Great Tent!

Great tent as always from Nemo! Well thought out and easy to set up needed a little more room for recent trips and increased living space. The three-person tent met the bill perfectly. I've had just under 5 nights in this on an exploration trip, but loved the tent.

2p Hornet For Big Fellas

I have used the NEMO Hornet for multiple nights. East to setup and durable. I have the 2P and like most tents, it is really only good for 1 person as I am 6'-04" and weight about 215 lbs. I went on a beach camping trip and we had a major storm come through. Strong winds and torrential downpours. We had people in our group that bailed on their tents in the middle of the night, hopped in neighboring tents or slept in the vehicles and literally watched their old tent blow away to be found the next day. I did use sand anchors, but the Hornet held strong and was 100% waterproof. Would I like a little more room? Sure. Do I absolutely need it? No. Great tent!

Lightweight Awesomeness

Just purchased my first Nemo Hornet tent, it’s light and very well built. Set up is straight forward and when it’s properly tensioned it’s nice and quiet in the wind.

Outstanding 3p Tent

I bought the 3P version to have a lightweight tent to take out with my kids on backcountry adventures. The weight, organization, and quality are outstanding and well thought out. I was hesitant about getting a semi-freestanding tent as I wasn’t sure if I should just spring for the fully freestanding model, but now that I have it I would never go back to a freestanding. I have a freestanding and a trekking pole tent from competing brands and I couldn’t be happier with this tent. The weight savings and ease of setup make this tent a no brainer. I now really want to get the 1P for my solo trips!
