Excellent Backpack!!

I bought the Terraframe 3-Zip 50 to carry my large format photography equipment. Total weight of the equipment is 30lbs and the pack works great so all my equipment fits in the pack with my hands free to use my hiking poles. The harness system works great and transfers all the weight to my hips. The padding on the hip belt and shoulder straps is excellent. I purchased this backpack after having to return a different manufactures backpack because the shoulder straps and hip belt had almost no padding. I would definitely recommend the Terraframe and Mystery Ranch.

Mystery Ranch Terraframe

I’ve had the TerraFrame for less than a month, and my first impression is pure quality. The two-tone green and gray look fantastic, and the stitching, zippers, and overall build feel top-notch. My only gripe is the lack of quick-access belt pockets for small essentials—gel packs, cell phones, or whatever random things we insist on carrying. I’m sure there’s a workaround, but it would’ve been nice out of the box. Overall, it’s a great pack, and I’m excited to put it to the test on a backcountry fishing trip in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Great

Been looking for a long time. I read reviews look at stores when i get something i want it to last this is it. Carry about 50lbs around and it feels great plenty of room for hunting gear or hiking takes a little work to get it dialed in for fit but i was using an alice pack yes I am old. Put 120lbs for a short haul pack held up better than i did.

Great Pack!!!

Bought the Terraframe 3 50L to replace my Osprey 50L for Search and Rescue. The 3 flap design is perfect for SAR access and the pack fits our mission profiles perfectly. I know longer have to pull all the contents of my bag out to get to medical, tech or other provisions on board. Unzip, flap it open and everything is right there, easily accessible and easy to pack back up.

Fantastic For Anything That Requires Heavy Use!

Since I've bought this bag I've put about 80 miles on it between a 3-day backpacking trip and numerous SAR callouts. The pack is spacious and I'm able to fit as much gear as I need with room to spare and the overload feature is perfect for when I need to pack a medic bay with me. Overall this backpack is perfect for my uses and I have no complaints

So Good I Bought Two

I bought a terraframe 50 last summer to use as a backpacking pack, and I liked it so much I bought another for work this spring. I love the guidelite mt frame, it’s incredibly comfortable and versatile. I’ve removed the bag and just used the frame to pack fence posts. The three zip design is the best pack set up i’ve ever used, incredibly easy to get into quickly. The big water bottle holders and side strap are great for holding tools, and the daisy chain on the back is useful to lash things to. I have both bags set up with a stick it plus, water bottle holder, bear spray holder, and a large forager pouch. I also have a hunting lid I use when backpacking. While the pack is nearly perfect, there are still some improvements that could be made. The biggest thing is how the top of the bag attaches to the frame. It comes with buckles that clip it to the frame, but they are too long and the top of the bag will sink down. I used paracord to hold the top of the bag up, which keeps the top pouch accessible. I would also love to see a slightly larger 3 zip bag, and one that uses a more durable material like 1000d cordura. I would highly recommend this bag, and more broadly the guidelite frame to anyone looking for a serious pack.

Worked Fine.

Doesn't carry much gear but can carry a load comfortably. Hauled 140lbs of gear and 110lb moose quarter comfortably, albeit 5 miles so not very far, uphill over/under fallen logs, marsh pits, and alders. Held up fine. Rifle fit fine in the side pocket, a drop pocket option for rifle would be nice so it doesn't ride so high. Just need to be cognizant of size of gear you want to bring if hunting big game. More comfortable than a maladjusted barney pack from Alaska frontier.

Like A Boss

DISCLOSURE: I am very well aware that MysteryRanch makes incredible awesome MIL packs specifically engineered for tactical/hostile environments. With that in mind... Because of my unique role, purchased the Terraframe hoping it would cross worlds really well. I am out-of-my-mind happy with this pack. First of all - just like listed on site, demo'd in videos, etc., this pack has insane space inside as well as build-out options on the exterior. For my needs, I can deploy the shelf and store a plate carrier whether going on a ruck, establishing FOP, etc. It's excellent. Cinching down on the straps keeps the weight near the frame and doesn't hinder pack storage at all. Here's the insane part: I can even stash the assault pack inside the Terraframe with plenty of space leftover. For example, I'm rockin' a K19 with a proprietary assault pack that attaches to the carrier itself. So I can haul the plate carrier, assault pack, and all necessary gear in the Terraframe - and do so comfortably! - and then when ready, deploy the shelf, grab the assault pack, and I'm ready to go. Can't say enough good stuff about this pack!

Tough As Nails

I've used this pack as a daily hauler for three years on a professional crew doing trail work in the Adirondacks. Daily loads range from 20-60 lbs and the frame + yoke could easily handle more. The pack material is tough and holds up to sharp tools and grease as well as near constant rain and mud. The zippers, straps, and buckles all have held up beautifully. I've used the overload shelf to haul grip-hoists, wire rope, stone drills, and splitting gear without issue. This is a great pack and is overbuilt in every way.

Good Backpack, In Need Of Some Better Design Ideas

I bought this pack a little over a year ago and immediately started putting it to the test with rucking, backpacking, and hunting. Overall, I really like this pack, but some design features are just killing me. The water bottle pockets are good quality, but basically unreachable while hiking. They could be about 1.5x the size as well, seeing as this is the only outer storage option for this pack. The upper clip holding the pack to the frame is so frustrating. The fact that every clip around the pack is your standard buckle-clip, and this one is a special "push" clip makes no sense. Every. single. time. I'm loading weight on my frame, it is such a pain to clip in without unclipping it along the way due to the awkward placement. A standard clip here would be much better. That being said, I scored this pack during a sale which made it at least $100 cheaper than any hunting pack in the same size. Great quality, holds weight pretty well, and keeps moderately dry in wet weather (PNW). I've carried it for several multi-day trips and it's been good the entire time.

Great Pack!

Bought this pack several months ago and have been very impressed with the fit and function. Hauls loads easily and does a great job with packing additional gear in the load shelf. Great pack
