Great durable and tough pack. Not the lightest weight but this pack is build to last years. Does not include a rain cover but with how tough this pack is you probably don’t need it anyway.

I've had a Lowe Alpine Contour IV since about 95 that has served me well, but it was wearing out in enough places that I wanted to treat myself to something new. This pack is just what I was looking for. Huge upgrade in terms of organization and load carrying(I pack pretty heavy) and seems like it'll last 25 years like my previous pack.

I had been reviewing this pack and comparing it with other brands that are popular at stores. Mystery Ranch takes the cake! The materials and well thought out pocket design are purpose built and not the flavor of the week like other pack manufacturers who will reconfigure the pockets or zippers to re market an old design. The pack fabric is extremely abrasion resistant. Combine that with a fully adjustable shoulder yoke and customizable hip belt and the pack carries and feels lighter than other packs that actually are. The warranty from Mystery Ranch can’t be beat!

I am so glad to find a pack that truly fits and distributes the weight like this one does. This pack is so adjustable and easy to dial in a perfect fit. The Mystery Ranch Glacier is the most comfortable and versatile pack I own.

I used to only trek with Dana Design, and this is my first pack by their successor company Mystery Ranch. Absolutely first class craftsmanship!

Fit, size, comfort, quality... For most, it's everything you need and nothing you don't. Simply the best IMO. That old expression buy once, cry once with quality gear....well with this pack those tears dry up really fast. I am beyond satisfied.

Very solid and comfortable. I own several civilian and military versions of MR packs for good reason. When out on the trail you can’t worry about the quality of your pack or mess with comfort issues. MR packs have you covered.

I bought two of these packs last year for a Colorado elk hunting trip. Overall the pack is great as long as you don't have a torso greater than 21" which most people don't. I am 6'2 with a 21" torso and my son is 6'5" with a 23" torso. The issueis what Karl pointed out in an earlier review. MR only uses a single size internal frame and as such the load lifters only give me a slight lift and for my son they are level to slightly below his shoulders. This is a non issue for me up to carrying a training weight of 75lbs but between 50-60lbs it puts enough pressure on my sons shoulder that he gets numbness in his hands. Again this is a nonissue for most people but IMO they should offer two sizes the current for the majority and a larger frame for for people with a greater than 21" torso. Love the layout and and obvious quality built into it!
