Colorado Touring Probe

This is a really decent probe for anyone who wants to trim down a bit of weight and bulk by going with a slightly shorter probe. I picked it up to use as a touring probe for backcountry routes in Colorado where we do not have a terribly deep snowpack. The T-handle on the end of the nylon pull cord is really easy to grab and I prefer this design over a lot of others on the market. However, it is a hollow T designed to clip to the probe shaft once deployed, and I worry if the handle broke the probe would be nearly undeployable. Most of the probe is printed with 1cm increments, with the exception of the final 15cm, and a small section from 150-160cm where the diameter chokes from 1/2"" to 7/16"" (I'm guessing they are unable to print on this section). The whole probe was easy to deploy on the first try without any jiggling or additional manipulation. Solid piece of equipment, highly recommended.

Couldn't Be Happier

This probe has a great deployment method which is really efficient, and is super strong. I take this probe with me on day tours because my G3 probe doesn't fit in my day pack. The sections on this are shorter so it packs well.
