works great. Filter body is > 20 years old and have only replaced cartridges and some o-rings. No odor or bad taste in filtered water despite filtering out of some putrid stock tanks. Friends filter resulted in tainted water taste.

Difficile a savoir comment installer, car différent de l'original, mais fonctionne tr`s bien

I own several MSR water filter pumps. I became frustrated with the slow flow even after cleaning. I thought I'd buy a new ceramic, instead of a whole new pump. Outstanding choice!!! It like a brand new pump. I couldn't be happier and I saved $ as well.

I’m glade I purchased this filter at this time because it revealed just how good the existing filter was and I learned what the caliper gauge was and how to use it thanks to warranty department providing instructions

This is an excellent product , my last one I used for over a decade. It’s a very reliable and user friendly design. Also the customer service is excellent. I really think these people in this company actually care about the customer.
1. Thank You for continuing to offer the ceramic filter for the water purifier. 2. I have used your water filter and your little backpacking stove for many, many ears. Outstanding equipment !

I have used this filter for the last 15 years in back country trips, as well as over seas and Mexico. Easy to use, easy to maintain, and powerful. Recommend to everyone.

I have had the Waterworks EX (Mini Waterworks) for more than 6 years. It has never let me down. I have had companion climbers/trekkers who had filters clog up in their (non MSR) units and they become non functional. I can take this one apart and gently scrub the outside of the filter, put it back together and be back to brand new function in less than 10 minutes. Awesome!

I have a circa 1992 Waterworks filter that I used long ago and put back into storage. After contacting MSR to see if I could use this cartridge in my old filter, (they responded with an email confirmation), I purchased this. Took it on a recent 5-day trip to Norther Wisconsin. Initially in a tannin-filled lake, it pumped quickly. Then it plugged up after 1.5 liters (hard pumping, trickle). I took out the cleaning pad, cleaned and got it working again at full-rate. It regularly plugged but I was warned that this would occur in this type of water. As we paddled to other lakes, I found that the performance improved (could pump 4+ liters of water with no cleaning necessary). There was one other filter in the group and people were impressed with this filter's performance and field maintainability. The filter then would not draw water in on the suction stroke. I took it apart, and found that there was grit in the umbrella valve. Cleaned it and put the pump back together and it worked flawlessly again. I'm highly impressed with the overall performance. I like the internal carbon matrix that can also filter out bad taste.

I've never had a slight question about these filters effectiveness. I depend on them to keep me safe on the trail and happy when I return home.

I have had a WaterWorks filter for years. The only time I had to replace the filter was because I dropped it on cement while cleaning it. I do try to filter the cleanest water I can find and, when it is cloudy (full of St. Helen's ash for instance) I collect it in a bucket and let it settle before filtering if possible.

Great filter. I still have the one which was purchased with my Miniworks, but I decided I wanted to have a spare on hand in case that one broke or became too worn to be used. No complaints on them.
