Over 50 bballer
This jacket is generally very nice - quality materials all around and a great price at Dicks. The thing that keeps this from a higher rating for me is the fit in the shoulder area. This jacket, compared to most other size large jackets I own, is very tight in the shoulder sockets. I have some muscle, but not big by any means and have an approx 42 inch chest, and this jacket is way too tight to be comfortable. Too bad because it is a really nice item, just didn't work out for me.

I bought this for a specific purpose, to put in my backpack. I walk the logging roads every morning and I start with it on. It’s lighter and warmer than a sweatshirt, it keeps the wind out, and when it’s time to take it off it folds up small and fits nicely in my little daypack. Not only all that, I think it looks sporty.

I love the jacket. fits perfectly, looks amazing and the color (Dark Caspian) is beautiful. Warm enough at 600 Fill. I own a LL Bean 850 fill, and I can definitely feel the warmth is different but its not horrible at all. For the price, It's worth it. Now lets get to the Mountain Hardwear brand. I have had winter coats from them in the past for a least a decade, and they have definitely lowered their standards. for one, the patch logo is an iron on where as my older jackets were embroided with the logo on the front, sleeve, and back of collar...no more. you get one patch and its stuck on the chest area. is it a deal breaker? no, but I know my mountain hardwear products. This particular item is a lower end product for Dick's stores. For instance, it says its 'packs in its own pocket.' Are they lying? no. but you have no double sided zipper to zip up once packed. I have been able to shove it in the pocket but still..cant close the packed jacket properly. another thing that makes this cheaper is their are no draw cords to tighten the hem at the bottom. luckily for me, its good enough and no wind should slip up. That is my honest review. If you can grab this jacket for under 100 like I have, go for it.

Description says it has elastic cuffs, but it definitely doesn't. Maybe some stretchy fabric, but it's wider than the end of the jacket so it's completely worthless. Jacket itself also has a flare in the cut, which is not typical. Quality of MH seems to have gone downhill remarkably fast these past couple of years. But maybe it's only the Dick's exclusive items.

I bought this jacket about a month ago on clearance & so happy that I did. I’ve never owned a Down fill jacket because I didn’t like the looks of them but this one caught my eye & when I tried it on I was hooked. So glad I bought it now will need to wait for winter to come!!!
