Love at first sight, a four-leaf clover, a crimp in Rifle, a climber without tendonitis some things are rare to find the Ghost Whisperer™ UL Jacket is, too. Made with 1000-fill RDS®-certified down, a limited, time-sensitive resource that uses only the highest quality plumes from the down selection, this jacket raises the bar as our lightest, fully featured insulated layer ever created. My 3 Season Go-to
I have many puffy jackets of various fills from different companies. But because the Whisperer UL’s minimal and high efficiency down, this tends to be the one I bring with me most of the year, especially in Spring-Summer-Fall. It packs down so well there’s never an excuse to not bring it, and it wears great because it’s so light and comfortable. I’m 5’11”, 195lb, athletic build, the Large size is a perfect fit. I can wear it with only a t-shirt under, and it doesn’t feel too big. I can wear it over base+fleece and still doesn’t feel too tight. I was worried a bit about the 7d denier fabric and being too fragile, however I’ve stuffed this thing in/out of it’s pocket probably 50 times this last year on various hikes and no visible signs of wear. Only had a few feathers poke out so not bad really. As for temperate keep in mind this isn’t the warmest puffy out there and it wasn’t designed to be. I use it as my 3-season insulation layer for breaks when hiking, or at higher elevations under a shell when descending. I find it works well to down to around 40 degrees or so and below that time for something different. At this temperature range, the lack of neck and waste draw cords I don’t think is an issue as it would be with a jacket intended for colder weather. Also, the glacier color looks much better in person. In the photo it looks grey, but in person it really looks like a glacier with all kinds of shades of grey. Someone at Camp Muir asked me whether it was glacier camo. LOL. Think I’m going to sell my Cerium.

Ul
yes, ultralight, good as mid layer, but not quite warm, just for light cold weather. and expensive if one looks for warmth too
