I received my men's small Ghost Whispered 2 vest today. Weight is 5.1oz. It's the same fine quality of my Ghost Whisperer 2 sweater that weighs 8.0 oz. They are roomy enough for layers under and the most packable layers that I own. Kudos to MH for a home run.

Sizing Issue
I ordered a size large; when I received the down vest it was far too small for me. I superimposed the zipped-up vest over other large vests I have), the Mountain Hardwear vest was considerably narrower in the torso--considerably narrower, like three inches narrower. And since the vest front and back were lying flat, that would represent a six inch circumferential difference in the torso--big difference.

Different Than Photo - Too Much Logo
I've bought several of these vests since 2019 - all have the simple lug nut logo on left chest - this one though, bought October 30, 2022, has a way too big "Mountain Hardwear" printed logo on left chest and then has printing saying "800 fill" on lower right of vest. Print color really stands out since this is a black vest and the font color is silver. One thing I've always like about MH is it's subtle branding. This is not in line with that at all. Also, the vest still "shines" as prior GW vests, but it more matted. I am sending back.

"Light, Packable And Warm"
I bought my vest to be used as a second layer for skiing and climbing. However, very shortly, I found out that it is also great for cycling when is chilly and could also wear it with a dress shirt and it looks classic (black)

Flimsy Zipper
Used it as an additional layer for skiing underneath a shell. Great warmth and packs away nicely when touring uphill. Unfortunately, the zipper is really tiny and flimsy and broke before the season was over. I wore it about 15 times before the zipper broke. Replacing the zipper at your local tailor costs half of a new vest . Will be looking for a light down vest from a different manufacturer.

Change In Sizing From Last Year
I have one of these vests that I bought over a year ago. I liked it so much I decided to buy another - obviously in the same size. However, I could tell something had changed as soon as I went to put it on - it was if the vest had shrunk a half size in all dimensions. I held it up to last year's vest, and this one is a bit shorter, smaller in circumference (both by 1 to 1.5 inches) and worst of all the arm holes are significantly higher and tighter. That was the killer to the deal and I had to return the item. I could and should lose 15 lbs but I can't change my arms. This won't matter to a lot of people, unless you're on the border between two sizes. I also have a hooded version of the jacket, and that fits perfectly. Wondering what changed, I looked at the tags and found the two older items were made in China and this was made in Vietnam. Evidently, in MH's quest to cut cost they also cut the size of the item. I give the item 5 stars based on my older items, but am frustrated by another company changing their sizing in an ongoing product and thinking no one would notice or care.
