Sale Price Was So Nice That It Didn't Feel Like I Paid Twice.

I picked it up at a fair price and probably wouldn't have bought it otherwise. I'm glad I took advantage of the sale. It's a nice simple vest with a good fill count. I'm not really a vest wearing kind of guy, but my son says this one looks great on me. The color gives Marty McFly vibes, but I like that. It contrasts nicely with dark greens, whites and blacks.

Home Run Mh

I received my men's small Ghost Whispered 2 vest today. Weight is 5.1oz. It's the same fine quality of my Ghost Whisperer 2 sweater that weighs 8.0 oz. They are roomy enough for layers under and the most packable layers that I own. Kudos to MH for a home run.

Great Lightweight Vest

If you’re looking for a minimalist lightweight vest, I highly recommend this. It’s warm and packs down small. The fit is close to perfect. Fits great over thin base layers and t-shirts. Arm holes get a little tight over thicker layers, like thick flannels or other mid-layers. (A vest with elastic arm holes is what I was looking for.) More color options and maybe less shiny fabric would be even better. I’m 6’0, 172 and reviewing size M.

Sizing Issue

I ordered a size large; when I received the down vest it was far too small for me. I superimposed the zipped-up vest over other large vests I have), the Mountain Hardwear vest was considerably narrower in the torso--considerably narrower, like three inches narrower. And since the vest front and back were lying flat, that would represent a six inch circumferential difference in the torso--big difference.
