Crazy-warm jacket but at the expense of real warmth. Have to keep moving to stay warm.

Perfect for the fall temps, staying warm outside and feels stylish

I like mountain hardware but I have to steer you away from this jacket. I am an outdoor athlete in many disciplines and this jacket does not stack up. Was originally attracted to it because it’s lighter than my Arcteryx and Rab, but it is such a poorly designed jacket. Pure mediocrity, terrible warmth due to the fitment, zero features, bare minimum everything. Just feels like cost cutting :(

This is a great jacket.. but is lacking in pockets. There’s only two, nothing on the inside, nothing on the chest area. Otherwise, it’s a solid jacket. I’m skinny, it doesn’t really fit around my torso area that well. Hoping that they correct this on the next version or switching

Great jacket. I have 2 bought one with a hood one without. Light weight, warm and packable (great for plane trips to ski) Fashionable too so it looks great

fit is as expected and it will be used for fall and spring in NY for my son who is in High School and apparently jackets are optional except for those which can be stuffe dinto his knapsack. This jacket (when crushed into a ball by noted son) is really small and the warmth vs. weight is excellent. Recommended by parent of moody teenager. ONLY concern is that the shell of the jacket is really thin, so the likelihood of a tear is there. We will see...

This jacket is amazing. It is so lightweight and packable, and it's SUPER WARM!!! I'm writing this review for my boyfriend, but he LOVES this jacket. He got the orange color and it's perfectly bright and colorful but not gaudy.

I'll start by saying this jacket is awesome, I just needed something a little warmer. The fit was actually really nice considering lots of reviews said the fit was weirdly bulky in certain areas, I got a large and im 5'9 195lbs with bulky shoulders. I did end up returning this for a rab mythic jacket for the warmth increase, honestly if this jacket had 1 or 2 more ounces of down, it would be perfect and I would've kept it.

If you're looking for a down jacket to wear for everyday use, there are better options. If you want one of the best down jackets for hiking and backpacking, this one is for you. This jacket is designed to be as warm as possible, but also as light and compressable as possible. It does its job well. This jacket is ridiculously lightweight, but still keeps me warm to about the low 40s to upper 30s with just a thin t-shirt under. Would work well for colder temps with proper layering. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

I bought mine when Mtn Hardwear was having a massive sale, so it was definitely a deal. Great jacket, warm, very comfortable, squashed down very well for packing on a week-long bike trip. Pockets a bit higher than most of my jackets, but I got used to that pretty quickly. I'd actually say the size runs just right to maybe slightly big- I am 6'2" and 205 lbs (44" chest, 36" arms) and am either a L or XL in most things, depending on the brand/style, and a Lg Ghost Whisperer fits me very nicely.

I’ve owned 2 of these and have loved them both for their light weight and surprising warmth. My only complaint is that the zipper is flimsy. Both of mine have failed after a couple of years of use. I’d rather MH use a slightly heavier and beefier zipper. Having said that, I wear this coat a lot and don’t plan to switch.

Fabric is not durable. I have multiple holes in the jacket with down feathers coming out. I've been putting high quality tape on it so more down doesn't come out. For the price of the jacket, I would not recommend due to the durability. However, it is very light, packable and warm. Too bad it isn't as durable as it claims to be.

The fabric for this jacket is very weak. My jacket ripped twice in the three weeks I had it, once on the way to the mailbox. We tried to return the jacket due to the poor quality and were denied. Do NOT buy.

My first impression of this jacket upon unpacking it was that it appeared very fragile. My impression was confirmed a few days later when a small stray ember from a campfire resulted in a hole being melted in the sleeve, about the size of a quarter. From that point forward, I was stuck carrying something to patch it on hiking and camping trips. This happened again since the initial incident. A year later, I went for a walk and decided to make use of the corded drawstring at the base of the jacket. I began to pull on it gently, and the entire mechanism disintegrated in my hands, leaving me with a cord that had ripped due to the slightest bit of tension. Has anyone ever actually worn this jacket outside of a store? This is a very brittle piece of clothing, and if you're relying on it to perform in any real-world situation, good luck! I was on the market for a parka for myself and my children. I will be looking elsewhere.

The people complaining about ripping didn't know what they were buying and bought the wrong product for their specific needs. This is not meant to be a durable coat it's supposed to weight almost nothing. Ripping is a minimal problem that Tenacious tape fixes easily. Just don't go barreling through a bunch of branches and you're fine. This is meant for lightweight to ultralight backpacking. Ideally it's not your outermost layer. If that's not what you want then this coats not for you, but the people who didn't know what they were buying and are now complaining are wrong. This is my favorite backpacking puff jacket that I've ever owned
