I'm a lover of hiking shorts with no built in belt or elastic waist. I still rock belts to hang stuff. The old ferrosi Outdoor research shorts were my jam. When those changed, I moved to Patagonia quandary. Now those have changed and these Basin trek are my favorite. I like em long with the 9in length.

Great fit and color. Just right around the hips and legs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loving my new trek shorts. Very breathable, smooth material that gets the job done on a hot day hiking or just casually strolling around town!

Never got a chance to wear them. They arrived very wrinkled. I tried to iron them and they melted. Tag said iron low, but didnt work

Currently my favorite shorts. They look good enough for everyday wear, and are light enough to be my go to for any outdoor adventure. They are waterproof so it saved me buying a new bathing suit. Only design issue is the zipper sticks out unless you remember to hide it.

lightweight fabric and sharp colors make these versatile enough for working out or dining out, either one. hard to beat. i'd purchase more if you had the stock [and additional colors].

I loved these shorts so much I purchased them in four different colors. Lightweight, super comfy, durable and quick drying fabric. Great for hiking, climbing or just for leisure

The pants fit well and I was going to like them. However, the fly's button opens with too much ease, especially during intense workouts, and can put one in an embarrassing situation. This can be further aggravated by the fact that the zipper does not stay closed by itself. Didn't expect this from a brand like Mountain Hardware.

Great shorts for hiking or climbing. They’re comfortable while moving and breathe well. Bonus, they fit as expected!

I bought a pair of of the regular length and the size 34 fit my waist perfectly. Unless you're a skinny guy, be prepared for a snug fit in the butt & thighs. Luckily I don't mind. Skies out thighs out!

The Basin Trek pants and shorts are great products. Easy wearing and not weighed down with a bunch of useless pockets.

Have the regular and the long inseam- both are terrific. Love everything about these shorts, versatile, wrinkle free, great on a hike or golf or casual.

I have both the regular and long inseam, and these are now my favorite shorts and (almost) as good as the discontinued Yucca Canyon shorts I loved and have every color. Get these shorts- fit is fine and look terrific.
