These would be the perfect pants if they were full length. The fabric is wonderfully light and cool when it’s hot and I’m active. The high rise and wide, low profile stretchy waist on these is perfect. The side pockets are great size/location/shape to keep phone and everything else you need safely zipped. Love everything from the knee up but wish they had the full length with adjustable bottom of the regular dynama pants. I hike and climb in the sun and through the brush and need my ankles covered. You would have a winner if you combined them because the rise on the regular dynama pants is too low and the pockets aren’t as usable.

I’ve been buying dynama pants for years, mostly recently these high rise ankle pants. They keep changing the sizing. I used to wear smalls. Then I found in the new styles I needed XS. Now the new extra smalls I buy are also too big, as a size 6 why am I needing to buy XXS??? So I order 2 colours in XXS, one fits great, even still a little loose. I can’t get the other pair even halfway up my thighs. This is so stupid.

flattering, athletic fit, nice quality fabric that is light for summer, versatile enought to wear to work then to the gym
I get these because they're crisp, light and tailored yet so comfortable I can do yoga in them. Also the high waist gives a slim yet curvy look., even washing them inside out and line drying, they will pill eventually.

I have been buying these pants for years and they have been my go-to for hiking, about-town etc. I have a more straight-up and -down body type and loved the high rise and narrow-hip silhouette which also fell at a perfect length. Apparently the fit was completely changed about a year ago, and with the new pants, I look like I'm wearing jodhpurs, huge in the hips, seat and thighs. Big fail.

I bought these pants to use as sun protection while I instruct Lifeguard courses and work on the pool deck. I also use them for travel and casual hiking. I love how flattering and professional they look, while being comfortable and easy to wear. Bonus that they aren't too warm in 90 degree weather and repel water! I recommend considering sizing down for a tighter fit after a few washes and lots of use. However, I just ordered a second pair in my true size because I enjoy the relaxed fit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for versatile sun protective pants.

Fits under a harness. Zip pocket for your phone. Tapered so you can see your feet. Excellent movement and stretch through the hips and knees. Sturdy fabric that may pill but hasn't ripped. Fast drying. I love these for multipitch days and gym days from spring to late fall. A+ climbing pants for any level of experience.
Love these new pants! I’m 5’5” and the length is perfect for me. And in this day and age, I can’t survive without zipper pockets. The material and quality of workmanship is self evident. Thank you for a great Canadian product.

I love the quality and styling, but this XS is huge! I have other Mountain Hardware hiking pants in xs that fit perfectly and that I love, so I expected to love these as well, but they’re falling off. They’re big in the waist and legs. I’m so disappointed

These are the most comfortable and versatile pants I’ve ever own. They let you maneuver without losing shape. I wear them every day. Zippered pockets in front make it trim - no gap-osis.

I was a HUGE fan of these pants (great fit, love material) until you changed design of leg pocket. It now has a vertical (vs more horizontal) zipper so no longer securely holds items (if not fully zipped) and isn’t large enough for passport when traveling, please bring back prior design!

I like the fabric and the fit. Perfect for travel pants and hiking.

I love these pants for all outside, especially bouldering. Fabric holds up and has plenty of stretch for high feet. My only request for future design is please add a draw string!! The fabric loosens up quite a bit during wear and a drawstring at the waist would be so helpful to keep the pants in place when topping out.

OK, I've bought so many hiking pants over the years, always trying to find the *perfect* pant for me. These come pretty dang close. I wore them to summit Mt. Whitney this summer and to backpack in the Enchantments, in addition to lots of other day hikes. Here's why I love them: the stretch is good, the high waistband is so comfy and flattering, and the POCKETS are perfect!! Drop in with zipper is so much better than the angled, non-zippered ones on the regular dynama pant. Pockets can hold my iPhone 17 pro sideways - so that's great! And the fabric is so good at wicking sweat and is very breathable. Why they're not perfect: The length is just a little too short and I'm 5'4". I get that this is supposed to be an ankle pant, but I mainly bought it for the high stretchy waistband + pockets vs. the regular dynama and I'm making do with the length. This isn't a huge issue for me but I do wish they came down to my shoe tops. The stretch is REALLY stretchy. Like after a day of backpacking my pants are falling down - they need to be washed to regain shape, which makes them not great for trips longer than a night. I wish there was a tie in the waistband to help keep them up. If I could get the perfect blend of this pant with the regular dynama pant I'd be the happiest customer and buy it in every color - stretchy high waist like this but with an adjuster tie (NO zipper/button) to mitigate the stretchiness, drop-in zippered side pockets like these (keep them exactly the same), and another longer inseam option (30" maybe?).
