Disappointed with the battery life. I’m shaded some of the day but even with minimal settings it just won’t recharge. Been a Moultrie fan for the last 3 years but this 4 is a disappointment.

Great Products But Could Use A Few Improvements

I will start by saying I have loved all of my edge cameras from the edge 1 to the edge 3. A few things I would recommend for the edge 4/edge 4 solar: 1. Add the groove to the front of the camera to allow for a cable lock. I know it is gps enabled but I still don’t want my camera stolen. 2. The solar panel doesn’t seem to be as powerful as the Moultrie solar panel that I purchased for the other edge cameras. 3. the battery life is not as good as it could be. My edge 3 with an added solar panel literally never loses battery life. My edge 4 died after two days in the field and it gets full sun all day in an open cutover. My other Moultrie solar panel trickle charges my edge 3 and also holds an internal charge within the solar panel itself. Just a few suggestions to continue to better improve an awesome product. The best bang for my buck goes to edge 3 with an added solar panel wired into the camera on a Moultrie stake/stand. I’ve loved that set up. 4. Use the power mag 3 or anything higher than the 2600mah.

No Way To Lock

Nice camera. but there is no way to lock it to a tree. So i wasted my money as I hunt public land and can't take a chance.
