Speed Setting Issues

First time fishing with my Edge 70. My old Maxxum 65 bit the dust! Edge 70 works well at speed setting 5. Speed setting 4 is a bit too slow. The difference between speed setting 4 and 5 is noticeable. It feels like speed setting 4 should be about 10-15 percent slower the speed setting 5. Speed settings 1 thru 3 are barely usable. My boat weighs 900 lbs. Batteries are at full charge! Overall, I was expecting better performance with the speed settings! Hoping there is a way to adjust these settings.

Decent Trolling Motor

It works, durability is questionable with tons of use. Replaced mine after 5 years.

Minn Kota 45-45 Trolling Motor

Very nice trolling motor. Delivered timely. No issue

High Quality

I purchased the the edge 55lb thrust for my 18 foot Jon boat. Very happy with it. Installation was somewhat difficult. Directions and hardware for foot pedal install would be nice. Although after spending this much money, wish they would include a sticker in the box for truck or boat or cooler etc.

Bent Prop Shaft

Had this motor for 2 months before taking it out of the box. Mounted it and took about another month to get a chance to get on the water.. First time out I set the motor into the water and started to fish.. Noticed it was noisy and seemed to be vibrating.. Fished a little longer and it got worse. Took it home and pulled the prop.. The seal protector had come loose and the prop shaft was bent with about 1/16 inch wobble.. .

Don't Be Alarmed By The Reviews

Been selling these motors in the market for a couple of years now. These motors experience the harshest conditions down here from potholed road knocking them about on the boat, underwater hardwood trees, rocks and wildlife. The people complaining about them are lazy and lack maintenance skills. The spares are cheap and can be bought off the Minn Kota spares portal and installed within 15 mins. It only takes one free google search to find out how to resolve the problem. So to conclude my review , Blame the Indian ,not the arrow.

Terrible Motor

I bought a brand new ranger bass boat about 4 and a half months ago. I have had the trolling motor worked on at the dealership twice now. The top of the motor fills with water and shorts out the system. The motor is very poorly made and seems to be a very cheap design. I would never buy another one from this company but since the warranty is still good I am stuck with this piece of garbage on my brand new boat.

Edge Trolling Motor

So much smoother operating than my other trolling motor!

Fits Were I Want It

Replacing an old minnkota that just wore out! easy to replace and the boat is back trolling as needed

Great Quality As Always

I have used Minn Kota for years, and I recently purchased a new boat. The trolling motor was busted, and so I ordered a new one. Great customer service, great quality, and a great motor.

Not Sure Yet

I live in Ohio and the weather has been crappy so I have not used it yet.
