Unwearable...

At first the shoe seemed comfortable after trying them out inside... but my first time wearing them on a short hike, I ended up with bad rubs under both ankles on both sides of the shoe. I figured they'd need a little break in, so I stopped wearin them while I healed up and tried them one more time. This time I wore them for a day of errand running..so very light use. The shoe caused sore spots on the top of my arch where the laces/tongue put pressure. I adjusted them several times to try to correct the pressure, and still I got a very red and sore spot on the top of each foot. So I've not worn them again..barely used them twice and sadly, I need to just give them away. I'd return them if I could but now I've worn them and damaged my feet twice, I'm stuck with them. I've been a Merrel customer for years so this is upsetting and sad to have such a bad experience.

Fabric on top of shoe buclkes at toe crease creates pressure, not comfortable for me, lots of blisters, ball of foot does not seem to have much cushion. Thinking of getting insoles - maybe will help

Second purchase of these trail shoes! The first purchase was to train for an ultra marathon on the long trails days. The second time was to replace the first pair. Look And Fit: Disappointed!

I have had good luck with Merrell shoes… until now. When the toe flexes, the fabric bends and folds over the toe area, which looks tacky. I kept them because I thought the comfort would make up for this, but they are my least comfortable shoes. I wish I would have returned them!
