The last 3 pairs of shoes I’ve purchased have fallen apart within a year. I’m done with Merrell

Make This In A Range Of Widths

Great company. Really like the shoes, but only came in one width and didn’t fit.

Love It

I’ve worn through the trail glove 5 times in the last 10 ten years. Loved them always, naustalgic thinking of how much fun was had in those shoes. This time I wanted to switch it up. Tried the Vapor Glove 6 in black this time. Love it maybe even more, coming back for the other colour soon. Nearly 40 still no knee or leg problems after this long running in these shoes. That’s said I’m 5’4 and never over 140lbs. Highly recommended love Merrelz.

Comfortable Shoes For Wearing Barefoot

Very comfortable however the design of the soles catches onto things, very "sticky" and nubby.

Not The Same..

Had the 4 and the 6, both great minimalistic shoes, this one feels stiffer, smaller and have a 'synthetic' feeling to it...

Glove 7 Worse Than Glove 6.

They need to reevaluate and go back to the Vapor Glove 6 design. I have five pairs and they are much more durable than the Glove 7. Materials on the 6 held up much better. Glue separates on the Glove 7, and the soles wear out much faster. The glove 6 also hugged the foot much better.

Don't Buy. Don't Last.

I bought these barely a month ago. Already serious tread ware and crack. I've only 140 miles on them casual running on park track. I love the fit of Vapor Gloves, but I got more miles out of my VG6 yet same problem. They don't last! I cannot afford to buy every other month. I'm done with Merell products. Not as good as they use to be 15-20 years ago.

There Was Not Enough Structure For My Neeeds

I needed a shoe with more structure for travel and bought your FloatPro which is perfect, love it.

Super Disappointed

I’ve been a strong vaporglove customer for 7+ years. Have run 60+ mile weeks + basketball in them. Never had a knee sprain. Wore these for 2 weeks with low intensity, and randomly ended up with a serious mcl sprain after a normal movement. Super disappointed. I’ve worn the merrell vaporglove 3s, and 5s till now, and they’ve had some minor issues—for example, with the 5s the thin heel cuff led to the back of my heals aching after longer runs—but never an issue that inherently led to a major injury with low intensity use. Although these shoes have extra padding behind the heel compared to previous models, which helps with my issue regarding aching in the back of the heel, these shoes are caved inwards putting extra unnecessary pressure on the knees. Super disappointed. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Hope the next model is better.

Don’t Buy, These Are Not The Same As The 6 :(

I’ve owned multiple pairs of Vapor Glove 6 and still have one pair left thankfully. The 7 has fallen apart in about 5 months and I do rotate my shoes. Outside of the much more visible wear and tear they hold onto smells way more than the 6 did as well. Would not recommend but after trying multiple pairs of Merrels new barefoot lineup and returning 2 pairs seems like I’ll be switching brands.

Comfy And Robust (Again)

I only got those since I read reviews that the sole is much more robust than the Vapor Glove 6. I loved the comfort of those but the soles wore down way too fast. The VG7 is just as comfy with much improved soles and now even easy slip on that's not compromising stability. Really love the look too.

2nd Pair

For those who are new, it's a little difficult to get used to but once you are used to it. it is very comfortable. I have been using them for many years now, this is my second pair.

Merrell May Have Missed The Boat On This One

Go back to the drawing board on this on Merrell. The fit is totally off on this iteration. Ugh

Not The Greatest

Overall, I love Merrell products having purchased clogs (I forget the model and am too lazy to check), and several pairs of Vapor Glove 6’s. I gave also purchased, and returned, Wrapt and Trail Glove shoes. The issue for me has been inconsistency. Love my Trail Glove 6’s. True fit (wear size 10 and purchased same), light, true minimalist barefoot feel and as the name implies, fit like a glove. The 7’s, although I decided to keep them and give them a try, overall don’t cut it. Had to size up to 10.5 for sufficient sized toe box and frankly, despite the spin, you can keep the burrito tongue. It is too short, not sufficiently covering top of ankle, and frankly is a pain when donning and doffing the shoes. And this latest foray with Merrrll shoes convinces me there is no consistency as regards sizing among their myriad product offerings. I’ll not get into detail interest to review length, but size and width were the issues connected with my return of Wrapts and Trail Gloves earlier. So while the 7’s are touted as an advance over the 6’s they fall short.

Great Lightweight Shoe

Purchased these for an upcoming canoe/backcounrty trip through the French River. Grip of these shoes were great on the steep rock faces and loose terrain. First pair fit and little snug by going off the size guide, returned for 1/2 size bigger and fit great. Toe box isn’t quite as wide as hoped but still much better then traditional hiking shoes. Super light weight and gave just the right about of protection for the sharp rocky terrain. Would buy another pair if they hold up well over time.
