Best Walking / Hiking Shoes
I’m a USPS letter carrier with flat feet. I ditched the Hoka bondi for these Moab 3 and never again got my ankle rolled from any of the routes. Easy to clean from dog’s dung, too (just being honest :D). These shoes had saved me a ton of slip/trip/roll situations. Not a single penny is wasted on the purchase. Thank you, Merrel’s!!!

Abuse Them! They Can Take It!
Just bought my 5th pair, the last pair lasted almost 3 years! Still working hard in them! Merrill is my GOTO for work and play, which are the same to me!

Best Boots You Can Buy
My favorite Boot ever. This is my second pair! They are comfortable, drain well when I travel through wet areas, have great traction, and are lightweight. For me, these are the perfect boots.

Great Boots For Trail Hikes
These boots are great. They didn’t need broken in and are definitely water proof through wet grass and small puddles. The wide width is perfect for comfort.

Tongue Sucks
The tongue of the left shoe is terribly uncomfortable. It feels like it was poorly sewn, and it makes it lumpy. If this is the standard to expect, I won't be buying Merrell does again.

Great Boots
The Moab 3 are great fare weather boots. Excellent ventilation, supportive, comfortable, strong thick soles with good grip. I bought size 14 wide and they fit perfectly. My only criticism is the bottom part of the lacing tends to tighten and as feet swell during use the toe box tends to tighten up. That likely wouldn’t happen if the bottom of the lacing started a little higher up. Otherwise I really like my Moab 3’s.

Why Only Two Stars
I have been buying Moab wide width for as long as they have been made. Starting with the first generation. I buy about four pair a year and generally destroying all four in that same year. I keep two pair ant a time and alternate days, so one pair airs out and I have fresh workbooks every morning. Over the past TWENTY FOUR YEARS of brand loyalty that equates to about NINETY SIX pair. Both ventilator and Goretex. I don’t like the “waterproof” but I’ve tried several. I think the gen 3’s are the best yet and do love these boots. But, it’s only been in the same colorways the whole time! Also looks like my one of my favorite offered is or has been discontinued!!! Which is why I’m giving two stars. All the cool color combos are NEVER in wide widths. Merrel, please, I have called and emailed begging, to no avail. Please offer the the cooler muted earthy color ways in the wide sizes. I have been a loyal customer for a long time. I wear these boots everywhere CONUS and around the globe.
All in all, I’ll keep buying them. But I really wish I could get some different colors. I’m hoping the two stars might get somebodies attention. I’d gladly change my review rating if I get a response.

Poor Design On The Men's Moab 3 Mid Eyelet
For nearly 15 years, I have consistently chosen Merrell hiking shoes due to their exceptional reliability, precise fit, superior comfort, robust construction, reliable ankle support, and excellent traction.
However, a recent experience with a new pair of Men's Moab 3 Mid Waterproof hiking boots, acquired just over a month ago, has raised significant concerns. On July 4th, while navigating a hazardous area, I narrowly avoided a serious fall when the heavy-duty laces of one Moab 3 Mid hiking boot became entangled with the eyelet of the other boot, resulting in the eyelet being torn out. The potential implications of such an incident in a more precarious environment, such as a cliff edge, are deeply troubling. This event has led me to reconsider future purchases from Merrell. It is imperative that the design of your hiking boots be re-evaluated to prevent such tripping hazards and cause real injuries.

Extra Thick Socks Are Not Enough For Snug Fit.
This hiking boot is well made and if it fit well for me, then I would probably love it. Unfortunately, the wide width is significantly too wide for me.

Very Comfortable Boots
I bought these to replace Merrell mid 2s that had a lot of years and miles and were wearing out. I was apprehensive because some reviews said they weren’t as comfortable as the old versions. I was very happy after wearing them a couple weeks they are just as comfortable. There was really no break in needed. Wore them around the house for a day and have done several 2-3 mile walks the last couple of weeks with no issues. I haven’t hit the trail yet for longer hikes but expect no issues. They are very comfortable and expect them to be as durable as my last pair. These are the best value for your money.

Great Foot Support
Solid shoes with good support. Have about 50 miles on them so far and they have been great!
