Tungsten 2-p

Really easy assembly. Used it next to the beach in Puerto Rico, keep steady with the wind gusts. Pretty spacious for all the gear! Caribbean approved!!

Awesome

I recently did a 3 week trip to the off center rally in Queensland Australia. The Tungsten 2 stayed cool in the warmer climes and Kept the rain out in the southern regions rain storms. The twin vestibules were very handy for storing gear and twin entry meant we could both get in and out of the tent without crawling over the other person. I great tent that I would thoroughly recommend to my friends

Solid, Spacious, Backcountry Shelter

For over five years this has been my go-to 2 person backpacking tent and has been pitched in backcountry spots all over the Rocky Mountains from Idaho up to Canada. Feature-wise it's spacious and well-appointed. The near vertical internal walls make it feel roomy despite its small footprint. The awnings leave ample room for packs and other gear. I love that the tent is as simple as it gets to set up and take down. Performance-wise is where this tent really shines. Although it's certainly not the lightest around, the added weight amounts to extra durability. This tent is not a delicate featherweight tent. It's built to last, and it has done so through 50mph winds and total downpours. Split between two people, its a very manageable carry on the trail. I whole heartedly recommend this tent as an affordable, fully featured backpacking tent. For those looking for something a tad lighter, the UL version is also awesome.

Thoroughly Waterproof

I had a chance to test this tent when an unexpected downpour took place during a summer camp. Had I known it would rain hard for many hours straight, I’d have put an extra tarp up. However, the tent was bone dry inside. This gave me confidence to take it on a 7 day excursion where it poured rain every single day. Once again I was not disappointed, and it outperformed a more high end tent my partner was using. Would definitely recommend this option to someone along the lines of waterproofness. Ease of set up is another good quality

Great Tent For Point Reyes!

Great tent for backpacking! We just got back from Point Reyes National Seashore and even though the fog was as thick as rain the tent kept us dry!

Need A Tent?

If you have ever found yourself out in nature, enjoying yourself, relaxing and then you wake up to a soggy pillow and sleeping bag, you know how badly that stinks. This tent will make sure you never have this experience again.

Bombproof And Functional Tent

The tungsten 2p is a great tent the older colorways are both nice and the new color line looks pretty snappy as well. This tent is designed well and performs even better. In the humid south condensation can be a minor issue on occasion but that's to be expected. The included footprint comes with me every time just in case the tent site is a bit gnarly. This tent is great for use on a three-day hike for two where the weight can be shared, and the roominess of the tent appreciated. I Love my tungsten!

Perfect For A Week On The Appalachian Trail

This tent is a 2 man and it was perfect for me because I roll around a lot. Also when it was hot I left the fly off and it kept me out of the bugs, It went together well but there is a technique to putting it up. The weight was reasonable. After one week the ground blancket shows some signs of ware. Looking forward to using it on the NCT.

Great For 2 People Over 6ft - Actually Fits

I used this sectional hiking for 2.5 weeks on the AT this past spring with my brother. We are both 6' 2" and had the perfect amount of room inside and in the vestibules.

Excellent Tent For Backpacking

We purchased this tent back in 2013 originally when we started backpacking. It has held up like an absolute champ. It has withstood downpours, heavy winds, and even snow and managed to keep us dry and comfortable. It has plenty of space for myself and my husband (we are not small people) and the vestibule is great for keeping packs out of the rain too. When we needed to purchase another backpacking tent when our kids started backpacking with us, we bought a second tungsten and couldn't be happier with our purchases.

Tungsten Tent Review.

I like this tent, I did the research and it is what I was looking for. My only nit picks; 1) the fly is a bit baggy/wrinkly, 2) and the foot print doesn't stay fastened to the tent so you can't leave it attached when putting tent back in stuff sack and it doesn't stay put when moving tent around untill the poles are in. I love the blend-in green color, works very well, enough height to get on knees.

Great Bang For Your Buck.

Great overall tent. A little heavy, but appropriate for the price range. Third night out on the AT, went through a severe thunderstorm with heavy rain and quarter size hail. Tent held up just fine.

Poor Quality Tape Seam

Bought 3 yrs ago, stored dry, indoors in manufacturer’s bag, used only a week during the first year then haven’t used it until this year. ALL of the tape seams are coming off or degraded. For the price, I expected more. Quick and easy setup.
