Alles bestens. Farbe vom Karabiner geht nur nach 3x Benutzen ab.

I have only used this for top roping, and it has held up well so far. It is a super simple design, but it does its job quite well.

This has become my favorite because it's the right mix of safety and speed. It blocks better than some similar but smaller devices, yet also feeds so quickly. Super light weight. Also the carabiner is one of the best designs for the purpose of preventing cross-loading.

Grabed this in hopes of giving it to my belay partner who was inexperienced, after tinkering around with it myself, I found it rather difficult to use in a safe manner without a lot of experience. Furthermore, when I went to climb the wall and had others instructing my belly partner on how to use this device, they were unable to help due to the unpopular nature of this product. With enough experience, this thing actually is rather nice for an easy belay experience, but I'd rather either go with grigri or an ATC, this thing just makes for a weird middle ground. I wouldn't recommend taking it in any Alpine setting. The carabiner is nice though 👍

Super easy and intuitive, very easy to translate from ATC and I prefer it to grigri because of how it works better with thinner ropes. I use it for lead belaying mostly and I must say the device can get noticeably hot when lowering someone 40-50 pounds heavier. I always recommend learning on ATC but if you want a more comfortable and safer option to upgrade too this is the best option on the market.

Love the ease of use and love that it comes in pink! Bought two, one for a backup to keep at work and one back up for personal climbs. I find passive devices like this to be more intuitive for belaying and this one is super easy to pick up for first timers.

So sleek and easy to use. The ease of an ATC with more safety :D

I really like the anti cross loading carabineer. it makes one of the Smarts biggest weakness disappear

Super comfortable to use! very safe, never dropped or slipped. I wish Mammut would make a smart Alpine 2 like they did with the first smart. Super light and compact, would highly recommend as a cheaper alternative to Grigri.
I wanted to try out a new device after using a gri gri for a while now. The smart 2.0 is much lighter and very smooth to use. This device really shines for me when lead belaying it's the smoothest assisted brake device you can get and not to mention at an awesome price point. 10/10 recommend.

I had used the smart 2.0 before. I but this one ‘cus it’s pink and cute and sometimes I like cute things. The carabiner style takes a bit of getting used to, but it’s super clear when it is and is not locked. Did I mention it’s got a bunch of pink on it?
Easy to use once, like everything new, you figure it out, intuitive never the less. Holds well and is nice to have piece of mind if anything happens of for neubies. Assistance for belayer when working a route puts ATC style devices to shame! Also still worked on icy and wet ropes where the Grigri struggles.
Love the smart belay device. I have used my friends for the past year and thought that it was about time I got one for myself. Feels great in the hand and easy to get used to. The carabiner that comes in the package isn't the best though. Personally I like a carabiner that I can use for multiple functions. This one has just one use which it does very well but in my personal opinion I would rather have more uses to it.
