Misleading Info About Gps Capabilities

Absolutely a disappointing purchase. Misleading gps feature.

No Map/chart Capability

When I bought this I thought I could add maps. Not! Description is ambiguous and misleading. If you think you are getting a fish finder with mapping capabilities you will be utterly disappointed as am I

They Shipped Me A Used/returned Fish Finder!

This time was not new when it arrived. The serial numbers on the unit and box do not match. The hardware was is ziploc bags and not factory sealed bags. The head unit was not in a factory sealed bag. There was no protective film on the screen. There are fingerprints smudges on the screen itself. The protective cardboard did not fit the head unit and were just pushed down into the box the transducer and power cord was opened and tangled up in the bottom of the box. There was dirt on the bottom of the mounting bracket. The unit was not secured in the box for shipment. Overall it’s a pretty bad. The pictures show it just how it arrived.

Not What You Think You’re Getting

This is a good unit but it does NOT include any charts and you can not even buy and add them. It can only make its own chart by adding an ss card and then scanning and making your own. This is not clear even if you read everything before purchasing. All of the other features work fine but no charts or navigation. If you don’t care about that then go for it. If you want navigation buy the 7 not the 7X

Can't Get It To Work

bought Sunday spent all day trying to get it to work, Spent 2 hrs on help line on Monday agent couldn't understand my issue even after iexplained it 3X

Love The Unit But Not Compatible With Maps Card

Love the unit but not compatible with maps card like the description says false advertising. Had it to long to return.

Ok But Not What It Says

Was very dissatisfied with no map capability as advertised, and no manual in English !!

After reading many reviews on this and other brands, I purchased this one and it’s the Best fish finder I’ve owned to date!

Excellent!!

Crystal clear and very easy to use. Finds Fish! Make sure you get the right machine. Some have maps, side view, some don't. There are different transducers also

No Real Gps

This is an X model does not have real GPS with MAP. The X tells you that. Can not ad a local map with chip.

Don’t Buy If You Want Maps

All of the adverts for the 7x show a map ... guess what? Maps will not work on this unit.

Doesn't come setup to set the transponder for tripleshot. Says unknown as selected from factory. Manual doesn't tell you this. Still learning to operate it. Printed out the manual and have read it three times from grant to back. Not the best instructions.

Not Working

Took it out the first time in May and couldn't make it work in all the functions that I thought I had with triple shot. I think I had same screen with sonar and downscan. This machine is not something that you just turn on and it works like a simple fish finder. I have tried to watch tutorials on internet. Tried to do setup at the computer and haven't had it out to see what difference it makes. I will contact Lowrance if I can't get it to work next trip and can describe the problem better.
