Need Help

Had the hook reveal 7xss for a couple years finally got the triple shot transducer for it and for some reason downscan and everything works except for the side scan the side scan just leaves a blank black screen any help would be great fully appreciated on how to fix it

Device Says Scan Qr Code - But No Wireless

The Lowrance Hook Reveal 7 works, but when you first boot it up it directs you to register the device using their app. Instructions under help say to enable wireless in settings. This device does not have that feature - you could waste hours trying to scan the QR code and get the app to work, or think the device is broken. This device does not have wireless. Would have been good to know from the start.

For My Son's New Boat

My son researched this and found the larynx 7 was a perfect fit for his new Carolina skiff. You can add the charts and maps later on a micro SD card. I was able to use the reward points toward buying some new tennis shoes at Dick's! I was also able to purchase it online and have it delivered to his address.

Great Size

Bought this mainly for the fish reveal feature which I have at the console on my HDS Carbon. I am surprised there are no fish emblems on the sonar. Also, the unit will only let you put the same overlays on both sonar and structure screens. Change one on sonar and it auto changes on structure as well. Would like to individualize the screens. Otherwise, a very good product.

Too Complicated And Not User Friendly “Unrevealing “!!!

I and my relatives were in Lake Shasta all last week and this product was too complicated to use. All of us are highly educated smart adults and it is a huge disappointment! Buy a Hummingbird! Pay the extra it would be worth it! Unless your a rocket scientist!

I've only been able to use this one time so far but the image that i get is great, I'm still learning how to use everything but it seems like it's everything it said it was the only thing I haven't been able to figure out yet is were the preloaded lake maps are but I will keep digging next time on on the water

Very Good Combo Unit

Excellent features and functioning. Fairly simple to operate. Only issue is that I mounted it in the dash of my Robalo R207 (it fit very nicely) except that the SD card slot is on the side of the unit and there is very little space to get the card in. Front SD card slot would be a better design.

Not The Easiest To Use

Not near as easy to use as my previous Lowrance products. I thought I would be able to use a mapping card as with my previous LCX27C.

Great Product

Bought this to go with my new boat..had a few problems customer service was great. I do like the old turn and lock connectors on the older style better.

Still Exploring The Full Potential.

I still need more time on the water for a proper review but here's what I found so far. The transducer took longer to install than it should have. Mainly because of the lack of detailed instructions. I could not place the transducer in the recommended spot because of a kicker motor. I had to search the internet for answers which took a lot time. In addition I wanted to pick up the cannon ball from the down rigger. So this was crucial. In addition the base mount had to raised to clear the dashboard when the unit would be turned for viewing from other angles. The power wire was too short and had to be extended. So just the installation took several hours to get right. On the water. The unit does what all depth finders do, shows bottom and what appear to be fish. However, what appear to be simple settings to someone that builds these units everyday can be confusing to the average guy that only gets on the water once a month for a few hours. I watched one of your webinars on how to use some of the features and the guy recommends driving around the lake for 4 hours while you learn how to use your unit. I'm sorry but that's my whole fishing get a way for the month. 4 weeks later when I get another chance to get out, I'm supposed to remember all that? What was track 1? What lake was that on. Whoops almost hit that log, kayak or speed boat while I was looking down at my unit trying to dink with a setting. It would be so great if there was a way that I could pop the unit off the boat and take it inside the house and practice using it in my easy chair. Give me a usb power cable so I can review all the tracks and rename them. Play with the functions the night before the trip. Things like that. In addition, the box shows this unit drawing a contour map of the lake as you go. So far I can't figure that one out. Might have the wrong transducer for but why is that not clear in the instruction or on the box. This unit likely has many great features that I don't realize how to use yet. When I retire and have the time to learn it that will be great. For now hoping auto mode will do the trick.

Best Fish Finder I've Ever Owned

The 7x is so easy to adjust, a few clicks on the sensitivity button can change everything, even in the cloudiest water I am seeing entire trees in full detail, schools of bait fish in awesome detail, the 7x showed a huge bait ball 8 ft. down with about 50-75 yellow dots on my screen. In my opinion If your thinking about it, DO IT & GET 1
