Lifestraw: Mountaineering Edition

This water filtration system is amazing. Used it with ice cold glacial water for a trip to the Olympic Mountains in Washington and it worked beautifully. 3 gallons was just enough for two days, one night of camping. Highly recommend, friends of mine use this fantastic creation as well and have never gotten sick drinking this water. Also the best brand you can find this. #LifeStraw

Works Great

Worked well for us. We purchased to use when we travel and don't want to drink city water or buy bottled water. I've used the pitcher for the same purpose but decided to get this for flying. It is a lot faster than the pitcher and folds up small. We are happy with the purchase.

Amazing And Portable!

We took this on our honeymoon trip where we had an 8 mile hike each way. Due to elevation, we underestimated how much water we would need and ran out! We were able to find a stream, pull this out of the pack and had two full water bottles of clean mountain water in minutes. This works amazing in an emergency and is fast. 10/10 would recommend. We’ve brought this on every trip since and gotten the home filter as well. Got a great pic of my husband filtering the water too lol.

Reliable, Convenient, Light, And Compact

Super product for backcountry expeditions. The 3L size is perfect for any adventure. Follow the product maintenance steps and you will have a long lasting filter. The weight/pack size to water capacity ratio is perfect for 1 or 2 people on the trail. Gravity filters are by far the best experience in water gathering and use. This is my standard.

Replacement Parts?

We loved our gravity peak series! But we only got to use it once before our cat chewed the hose. I cannot seem to find a replacement anywhere. Any suggestions?

Broken On First Use

I was given this gravity filter new as a gift and had suspicions on the design where the hard plastic at the base meets the soft bag. I even did preventative taping recognizing that this could be a weak spot. Despite this, and packing it gently, it still separated at this seam within 1.5 days of use on its first 3 day trip. Super disappointed.

I Like It!

I love how convenient this is and how easy it is to use. I love knowing the water I’m drinking is filtered and this water bottle is convenient to use. I can’t wait to take it out on a camping trip.

Great Option For Filtering Water When Travelling

I rely on Lifestraw products around home and when I travel because of their effectiveness in filtering out even the smallest bacteria. This filter system is also really compact for packing so it’s a very helpful addition to Lifestraw options. I should also mention that the first one I bought had a terrible chemical smell but I was easily able to return it for a new one that has no odours, as it should be. Thanks to the very helpful customer service team.

Something We Don’t Think About But Need To Be Prep
