slippery slope
I purchased these as a gift after reading several off site reviews. They stick well on our slippery hikes and are so comfortable he has been wearing them even when not hiking. 9 1/2 true to size

This is a perfect shoes especially for the Camino De Santiago walk in Spain particularly the Camino Primitivo and Camino Del Norte. The shoes is very comfortable, and waterproof. The Camino in the are I walked has a very erratic weather pattern and it rains a lot. The shoes is really perfect for this part of the Camino.

I bought these 3 weeks ago and I am wearing them nearly every day. They are excellent for hikes and have amazing comfort and stability, right out of the box. I am also planning to buy my 15 year old son a pair as well. We are planning on taking them on our trek to Philmont Boy Scout ranch in New Mexico this coming June. Highly recommend!!!

Bought a second pair lest they be discontinued and I am left longing. The shoes are supple, stable, supportive, comfortable and dry in whatever the weather.

Nice, waterproof and sturdy, but also pretty uncomfortable for my foot. Fit is very tight and the sizing ran small. All in all, I think it is well-made but not a great shoe I look forward to wearing.

Extremely comfortable right out of the box. Very good arch support and great for hiking in the snow. I suspect they will be great for summer hiking as well.

This is my second pair of this model (or its predecessor) and I’m still willing to fork out the extra $ because;’ 1- they are the only high end hiking boot/shoe I’ve found that requires virtually no break-in. 2- they are stable, with good traction and adequate puncture resistance 3- good waterproofing. I’ve had these on some extreme stuff- I’m sold on them.

I bought these shortly before a hike from Yosemite Valley to Half Dome and back. While plenty of other things hurt by the end of that, the shoes were great. Lots of grip and super waterproof. The waterproofness comes with some extra warmth, but that's true of any waterproof shoe. I used them to climb half dome in the post-season when the cables are down, and have since used them as approach shoes at Red Rocks. I actually did have a small manufacturing defect on mine, but La Sportiva replaced them quickly, so manufacturer support is great!

I have had these for about a month and they a pretty good shoes. I use them as a hiking shoe and daily shoe. For hiking they have worked wel. They have plenty of grip and work well in loose stuff or mud. They are also light enough that I use them as a daily shoe. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that they feel loose around the heel. They don’t slip exactly they just feel loose. Could just be me, but I purchase la sportiva almost exclusively and this is the first shoe I have noticed it in. It has gotten better with time though. Anyway, happy with the shoe and brand. It would probably take some serious disappointments to let go of the brand.

This is by far the best light weight low top hiking shoe I have ever worn. And I have work a lot. La Sportiva has figured it out. Didn’t doubt it they are a French company! They have been hiking for 1K of years and all they do is walk over the there :) The only suggestion I would make is put a lace loop on the top the tounge to keep it from falling from the side. Other than that love this shoe!!! Buying another pair

I am on my second pair of these excellent hiking shoes. Have done the John Muir Trail, and numerous other shorter hikes with the first pair without any blisters or other problems. Nice balance between lighter weight and still good support.

After 15-20 miles of hiking all sorts of terrain in these the first weekend I got them they became known as my mountain goat shoes because I just felt like they could just tromp through anything. The heel feels like its slipping when you try them on but as soon as you put them to work that goes away. Don’t feel as heavy on feet as they do in hand and they’re just absolutely tanks on the trails/mountains.

Build quality, looks, comfort, functionality....all A+ Put thicker laces on as a personal preference. The breathability feature in the sole works and makes for all day hiking comfort...!!

They are awesome! It took a couple of weeks to break them in, but after that they are super comfortable. True to size in length, but a little narrow in the toe box, that’s where they needed the break in. Really amazing cushioning in the soles, and very good grip. Very happy with my purchase.
