I had the original leash and loved it. I got the new one and my only complaint is that the bag holder drawstring has come apart. It will not go back together.

Bring Back The Old Model!

I just received this leash, I had the last model for years and countless miles and absolutely love it, but my dog passed away so I wanted a new leash for my upcoming puppy. The new model has super sharp edges and one thread is already freyed, there's no padded handle like the last model and the poop bag holder is not removable. I've searched everywhere I can think of to find an old model in purple or orange without success. Please bring back the old model, your upgrade is a huge downgrade! Even at a higher price point the old one would be worth it!

Worse Than The Previous Generation :(

I like this leash a ton - and our previous one broke after 3 years of daily use, so I was happy to replace it. But the new one has a major flaw: the adjustable waist buckle is really uncomfortable :( it’s so sharp at the end of the leash that I’m not sure if I’ll use it for long - might be shopping for another option or trying to find the older model.

Great leash overall. The downside is there is no clean “loop” if you just want to use it like a normal leash. Around the waist option is nice when jogging.

Keeps My Dog Safe

I adopted a new dog from the country but live in a busy downtown area. When he saw a dog friend across a 4 lane street, he lunged unexpectedly. The leash loop slipped off my wrist (I was doing something...maybe putting a glove on/off...and he ran across, thankfully, no cars were coming! I immediately bought this hands-free leash so it won't happen again. I wear it messenger-style over one shoulder. The waist was uncomfortable. I had a hard time figuring out the 6 ways to wear it in the store. Bought a second one but haven't quite figured out how to connect them to have 3 small dogs on one leash without them getting twisted/tangled up. Its very sturdy -- the carabiner type end requires strength to open. Very reflective, washable...I like the blue one.

Major Downgrade From Original Quantum

Quantum 2.0 is the latest product to suffer from "upgrades" that weren't needed but made the product worse. No handle is included, which limits its versatility and kills its usability. The new carabiner is also difficult to attach to collars because of its small size. I could get over that though. The lack of a handle is the dealbreaker. Without that, it is unusable for the most essential reason I bought this leash: walking my pup. BUY THE ORIGINAL while you can. Hopefully Kurgo will course correct for the next version.

A Great Leash For Active And Energetic Dogs.

Love this leash. It gives lots of options to attach, clip and tether your active pet. It's also durable and strong and doesn't wear and fray.

Versatile

I love the versatility of this leash. I couldn’t figure out what the random clip was for and it kept digging into my back so I took it off. After reading this and seeing the pics I now realize what it is for. I would like to get the handle that’s on different versions as when I am holding it I find it hurts my hands. The link on the tag takes you to a different version that has the handle and doesn’t have the clip. Overall I really love using it around my waist with my older dog so my hands are free for the new puppy!

Probably Not For Chewers

No match for a 10-month-old Italian Greyhound's teeth. I left it clipped to her crate, she pulled it in, and almost chewed it in two. Sorry, I didn't have it long enough to really notice anything else.

Good Leash, Handle Option Could Be Improved.

Quality leash. However, since the last model, they’ve changed the handle option to not be as comfortable. Clips are high quality and strong. Ability to choose different lengths is very helpful. Has random metal clip that is not very useful and difficult to remove.

I Prefer The Clasp On Version 1

I've been using Quantum leashes for my two dogs for about 6 years at this point. They've been great for running and walking especially with two dogs. I do however prefer version 1. I had to replace one of my old leashes last week and bought version 2. There are two features that I do not like on this one, the clasp and bag holder. The old clasp was bigger and quicker to clip. It also had a bottle opener section that I used to hook my poop bag holder, keys and already open bags so they're ready to go on cold days while I'm wearing gloves. I do appreciate the thoughtfulness of the used poop bag clip added on but it just digs into my back and I typically carry my bags by hand for easy disposal. Overall, I prefer version 1 but I'll still be using this leash.

A Pet Accessory Company Run By Accountants

Kurgo used to make great stuff. Then venture capital came calling and accountants started designing the stuff using Microsoft Excel focusing on margin only. Net result is Chinese made crap being sold for high prices, and accountants all get big bonuses. Stay away, nothing like it used to be. Sad the whole world is being ruined by focus on anything but the actual quality of the product in companies run by clueless greedy people.

So Disappointed I Coudl Cry

I really love this invention that allows different walkers to easily change out leash and readjust it in seconds. But the sharp, molten thread ends snag my clothes and skin. There's got to be a different way to assemble this otherwise brilliant leash!
